1. Chris Paul

Known for his elite quickness, precise passing, ball-handling, and defensive skills, Chris Paul is widely regarded as one of the best point guards in NBA history.

CP3 was particularly proficient in the pick-and-roll, as he’d tend to either throw a lob or bounce pass to the cutting big man, depending on defensive coverage.

Paul finished second in MVP voting to Kobe Bryant during the 2007-2008 season.

Paul also earned three All-NBA and All-Defensive Team selections with the Hornets and has the most assists, steals, and third-most points in franchise history. He also has the third-most assists in NBA history.

2. Anthony Davis

Equipped with a great motor, explosiveness, handles, midrange jump shot, ball-handling, and shot-blocking skills, Anthony Davis was a force to be reckoned with nightly.

“The Brow” finished third in MVP voting during the 2017-2018 season.

Davis earned three All-NBA and All-Defensive Team selections with the Pelicans and has the most points, rebounds, blocks, and second-most steals in franchise history.

3. David West

A terrific midrange shooter, David West feasted on pick-and-pop opportunities, making him a favourite target of Paul.

The two-time All-Star has the second-most points, rebounds, and blocks in franchise history.

4. Jrue Holiday

Jrue Holiday developed into one of the best defensive guards in the league during his time in New Orleans, as he earned two All-Defensive selections as a Pelican.

Holiday has the most 3-pointers, second-most assists, third-most steals, fourth-most points, and fifth-most blocks in franchise history.

5. Brandon Ingram

Brandon Ingram’s ability to create his own shot, finish at the rim, and hit from deep has made him one of the best scorers in the league.

Ingram currently has the third-most assists, fourth-most 3-pointers, and fifth-most points in franchise history.

6. Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson has proven he can give you over 20 points per game on over 60% shooting throughout his career, especially when he gets to the rim and finishes with a powerful dunk.

Williamson has also shown tremendous passing skills on the fast break and when he draws defenders inside the paint.

Unfortunately, he’s dealt with a lot of injuries, but if he can overcome them, there’s still a chance he can live up to the high expectations placed on him.

7. Tyson Chandler

Tyson Chandler became a favourite target of Paul, as Chandler was adept at catching lob passes and cutting to the rim.

Chandler has the fourth-most rebounds and blocks in franchise history.
