  • The Jets’ Stanley Cup odds are tied with the Los Angeles Kings for the 11th shortest (+2500).
  • The Jets are scoring the third-most goals per 60 minutes 5-on-5 (3.18).
  • Winnipeg has the second-best PDO (106.48), a stat that combines collective shooting percentage and save percentage.

The Winnipeg Jets have taken off where they left off last season, starting with a 4-1 record and dominating most key statistical categories.

Thus far, almost nothing has changed from the Jets’ historic Presidents’ Trophy-winning season. Scott Arniel’s team has scored at least four goals in all five games while conceding two or fewer four times.

They have the third-most goals per game (4.2), the third-most goals per 60 minutes 5-on-5 (3.18), the second-best penalty kill (95.5%), and the third-best power play (33.3%), tied with the Dallas Stars.

The two stats Arniel will want to improve are their second-worst expected goals percentage (42.86) and second-worst Corsi rating (41.4%).

Winnipeg Jets Stanley Cup Odds

The Winnipeg Jets’ Stanley Cup odds (+2500) haven’t moved since the start of the season. Those odds are tied with the Los Angeles Kings for the 10th shortest.

Winnipeg Jets Western Conference Odds

The Jets’ Western Conference hockey odds are the fifth-shortest (+1100). Those odds have also remained unchanged since the start of the season.

Despite yet another sluggish start, the Edmonton Oilers are the favourites to represent the Western Conference in the Stanley Cup Final for a third straight season. Their +375 odds carry a 21.05% implied probability, while the Jets have an 8.33% chance.

Winnipeg Jets Central Division Odds

The Jets’ Central Division odds have lengthened from +550 to +600 despite an indomitable 4-1 start. That’s because of the Colorado Avalanche, who’ve won five of six, with their only defeat coming in Dallas via a shootout.

Their +600 are the third-shortest, with the aforementioned Avalanche the +130 pacesetters, and the Dallas Stars receiving the second-shortest odds (+200).

According to the odds at the BetMGM sportsbook, the Avs’ implied probability of winning the division sits at 43.48%, while the Stars’ +200 odds come with a 33.33% chance. Winnipeg’s +600 odds carry a 14.29% probability of repeating as division winners.

Winnipeg Jets Next Game

Twelve of the Jets’ next 14 games are against teams that didn’t make the playoffs last season, starting with a tilt in Calgary on Monday. The Jets then play the Seattle Kraken at home before welcoming the Calgary Flames to Canada Life Centre on Friday.

The Jets won two of three against the Flames last season while beating the Kraken in all three meetings.

Have the Winnipeg Jets Won the Stanley Cup?

No, the Winnipeg Jets haven’t won the Stanley Cup.

Since returning to Winnipeg in 2011, the Jets have made it to the conference final once, losing to the Golden Knights in 2017-18.
