1. Dale Hawerchuk
The first overall selection in the 1981 NHL Draft, Dale Hawerchuk immediately became Winnipeg’s biggest star. Hawerchuk racked up 103 points and took home the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s rookie of the year.
Immortalized by a statue outside of the Canada Life Centre, Hawerchuk racked up 379 goals and 929 points in Winnipeg colours. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001 and his No.10 jersey has not been worn by any Jets player since the team relocated in 2011.
2. Teemu Selanne
The “Finnish Flash” burst onto the NHL scene with the Winnipeg Jets, setting the rookie record with 76 goals scored that still stands today.

His explosive speed and scoring talent electrified the crowd and left a lasting legacy in Winnipeg. Selanne totalled 306 points in 231 games for the Jets.
3. Thomas Steen
A fifth-round draft choice of the Jets in 1979, Thomas Steen is undoubtedly one of the best players in franchise history.
The Swedish centre played his entire 14-year career with the franchise and still holds the record for most games played (950) in a Winnipeg uniform. He was a consistent, reliable presence in the Jets lineup for over a decade. Steen totalled 264 goals and 817 points in his time as a Jet.
4. Bobby Hull
A key part of the Jets’ World Hockey Association success, Bobby Hull brought star power to Winnipeg.
Hull put up an eye-popping 648 points in 429 games with the Jets franchise, establishing the team as a formidable hockey power.
5. Blake Wheeler
Wheeler was the face of the Jets franchise for over a decade and a proven leader both on and off the ice.
Wheeler is Winnipeg’s all-time leader in both assists and goals and left a lasting impact on the team and its fans. His consistent performance and dedication to the franchise made him a modern-day Jets icon.
6. Dustin Byfuglien
A towering figure in the Winnipeg Jets lineup for nine seasons, Dustin Byfuglien was a dynamic force on the ice.

Known for his imposing physical play and remarkable versatility, Byfuglien combined the brute strength of a defenseman with the scoring instincts of a forward. His crushing body checks and clutch playoff contributions made him a fan favourite.
7. Paul MacLean
A huge part of the Jets’ success in the 1980s, Paul MacLean spent much of the decade manning the right side of Hawerchuks’ line.
He put together three 40-goal seasons and was named a 1985 NHL All-Star during his time in Winnipeg.
8. Keith Tkachuk
Tkachuk was a dangerous offensive weapon for the Jets in the 1990s, racking up 289 points in 308 games.
He was the Jets captain for three years, using his physicality and scoring touch to become one of the most impactful players of his era. The Tkachuk hockey legacy lives on as both Matthew and Brady play in the NHL today.
