1. Wayne Gretzky
When Wayne Gretzky arrived in Los Angeles in 1988, the team’s Stanley Cup odds skyrocketed, and he turned the whole hockey world on its head. “The Great One” brought a never-before-seen skill to the Kings, setting records and capturing the imagination of fans.
Gretzky scored a staggering 918 points in just 539 games with the Kings and raised the game’s profile in the City of Angels. He’ll forever be remembered fondly for leading the franchise to its first-ever Stanley Cup Finals appearance in 1993.
2. Luc Robitaille
“Lucky Luc” is the personification of the Los Angeles Kings. The franchise’s all-time leading goal scorer with 557 tallies, Luc Robitaille’s knack for finding the back of the net was unmatched.
Robitaille spent 14 years with the Kings across three separate stints, racking up 1,154 points in 1,077 games with LA.
3. Marcel Dionne
The Kings’ all-time scoring leader, Marcel Dionne spent 12 memorable seasons in Los Angeles. Dionne scored an unbelievable 1,307 points in a Kings jersey in only 921 career games. The 1979 Art Ross Trophy winner piled up the accolades while scoring a remarkable 1.42 points per contest.
Dionne paired with Dave Taylor and Charlie Simmer to form the infamous “Triple Crown Line,” known as one of the highest-scoring lines in NHL history.
4. Jonathan Quick
Quick’s name is synonymous with clutch goaltending and championship pedigree. He was a pillar of excellence between the posts for the Kings during the 2012 and 2014 Stanley Cup runs.
Quick won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2012, after posting an incredible .946 save percentage and 1.41 goals against average throughout the playoffs.
5. Anze Kopitar
Anze Kopitar has been the backbone of the Kings since he arrived in LA. The Slovenian has spent his entire 18-year career with the Kings, winning two Selke Trophies and two Lady Byngs along the way.

Kopitar led the team to two Stanley Cup championships in three years, pacing the team in points in both playoff runs. Kopitar bleeds black and white, and is the Kings’ all-time leader in games played (1,340), and assists (774).
6. Drew Doughty
Drew Doughty brought home the 2015 Norris Trophy as the NHL’s top defenseman. The London, Ontario, native has been a mainstay for the Kings since being the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Doughty’s durability and competitive spirit have been crucial during the King’s success. He sits third in games played (1,143), and ninth in points (646) in franchise history.
7. Rob Blake
Rob Blake was a constant presence on the Kings’ blueline for the first 12 years of his career, before returning for a second stint in Los Angeles later. He won the 1997 Norris Trophy with the Kings while potting 23 goals.
Blake sits seventh in games played (805), and tenth in both assists (333) and points (494) in franchise history. His No. 4 jersey was retired by the franchise in 2015 as a testament to his legacy in LA.
