1. Mike Modano
Mike Modano was the face of the Dallas Stars for over two decades. No. 9 is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer with 557 goals and 802 assists. He racked up 18 assists and 23 points in the playoffs to help the Stars raise the Stanley Cup in 1999.

Modano holds the record for most goals (561) and points (1374) scored by an American-born player. His longevity, charitable affiliations, including the Mike Modano Foundation, and contribution to the growth of hockey in the state of Texas as a whole made him an irreplaceable figure in Stars history.
2. Jamie Benn
The current captain of the Stars and former fifth-round draft pick Jamie Benn has been a cornerstone of the franchise since his debut in 2009.
Benn took home the Art Ross Trophy after the 2014-15 NHL season, leading the league with 87 points. He’s been a consistent offensive force throughout his career. Benn is second in games played (1,077), goals (371), and points (876) in franchise history.
3. Sergei Zubov
Sergei Zubov was a staple of the Stars’ blue line for nearly two decades. He was a key player in the 1999 Stanley Cup playoffs, racking up 12 assists and leading all skaters with a plus-13 rating.
Zubov sits fifth in games played (839), fourth in assists (438), and eighth in points (549) in franchise history.
4. Jere Lehtinen
Known for his outstanding all-around game, Jere Lehtinen was a model of consistency for the Stars. He won the Selke Trophy three times as the league’s best defensive forward.
Also a part of Dallas’ 1999 Stanley Cup-winning team, Lehtinen’s teammates and coaches nicknamed him “King of Little Things” for his impeccable two-way play. He played all 14 years of his NHL career with the Stars and sits fourth in team history with 875 games played.
5. Marty Turco
Renowned for his quickness and puck-handling skills, Marty Turco holds the record for most wins by a goaltender in Stars history (262).

Turco was immense in the Stars’ 2008 run to the Western Conference Final, holding an impressive 1.30 goals against average during that run. Turco kept the Stars competitive during some lean years and sports an impressive .911 career goals against average.
6. Brenden Morrow
The longtime captain of the Stars, Brenden Morrow sits in the top 10 in goals (243), points (528), and games played (835) in franchise history.
Morrow spent 13 of 15 NHL seasons in Dallas and won the 1999 Stanley Cup with the team. He scored 42 points in 78 career playoff games, scoring many crucial goals along the way.
7. Derian Hatcher
The first American-born captain to lift the Stanley Cup, Derian Hatcher was a mountain in colossal defensive force for Dallas. Known for his jarring hits, Hatcher’s hard-nosed play and leadership were instrumental in the Stars’ 1999 Stanley Cup victory.
He was a tough, reliable defenceman throughout his career, and sits seventh in Stars’ history with 827 games played.
