1. Steve Nash

Steve Nash took home back-to-back MVP Awards to kick off his second stint in Phoenix, as he was the engine that drove the “Seven Seconds or Less” offence.

The seven-time All-NBA and Hall of Fame point guard was a significant scoring threat from 3-point range and in the midrange, and his exceptional passing skills allowed him to create easy scoring opportunities for teammates, even navigating through challenging angles with precision.

Nash has the most assists and second-most 3-pointers in franchise history. He also has the fifth-most assists in NBA history.

2. Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley earned MVP and led the Suns to the Finals during his first season in the desert.

The 11-time All-NBA and Hall of Fame power forward may have been undersized, but he still found ways to outrebound his opponents and score inside the paint with his physicality and basketball IQ.

Barkley threw many behind-the-back passes, leading to many assists. He also pushed the ball in transition and threw down some powerful dunks.

3. Devin Booker

Devin Booker helped transform the Suns from a joke into a perennial contender, leading them to the Finals in 2021.

With his ability to create his shots from 3-point range and the midrange, and get to the rim, Booker is as unguardable a scorer the league has ever seen.

His career-high 70 points in a game speaks for itself.

The one-time All-NBA guard currently has the most 3-pointers, third-most points, and sixth-most assists in franchise history.

4. Kevin Johnson

Known for having elite quickness and being fearless at attacking the rim, Kevin Johnson developed into a threat to put up at least 20 points and 10 assists nightly, earning five All-NBA Team selections throughout his career.

Johnson has the second-most assists, and fourth-most points and steals in franchise history.

5. Amar’e Stoudemire

Renowned for having elite power and finishing ability at the rim, Amar’e Stoudemire was a huge beneficiary of some of the tasty dishes that Nash used to serve out during his career, especially in the pick-and-roll.

The five-time All-NBA power forward/center has the third-most rebounds, fifth-most blocks, and seventh-most points in franchise history.

6. Shawn Marion

Possessing the ability to score, rebound, and defend, Shawn Marion was an integral part of the Suns during some of their deep playoff runs.

“The Matrix” had the ability to leak out in transition, making him a favourite target of Nash.

The two-time All-NBA forward has the second-most rebounds and steals, third-most blocks, and fifth-most points and 3-pointers in franchise history.

7. Paul Westphal

Paul Westphal helped the Suns get to the Finals in his first season, as he averaged over 22 points and five assists per game during his first stint in “The Valley.”

Westphal also earned three All-NBA First Team and one All-NBA Second Team selection as a Sun.
