LeBron James and Dwyane Wade created some memorable moments in Miami Heat history, and the crazy part about it is that they were teammates.

Several other legends have come and gone in South Beach that made the team a perpetual favourite for fans when looking at NBA betting lines. Which ones are the best?

1. Dwyane Wade

Known for his posterizing dunks, circus layups, behind-the-back dribble, and elite shot-blocking skills for his size, Dwyane Wade forever changed the culture of the Miami Heat.

Facing an 0-2 deficit to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2006 NBA Finals, “Flash” averaged nearly 40 points per game the rest of the series to help Miami win the next four games and their first championship in franchise history, earning Finals MVP honours along the way.

D-Wade won the scoring title during the 2008-2009 season, finishing third in MVP voting.

Wade also helped the Heat win championships in 2012 and 2013.

The eight-time All-NBA, three-time All-Defensive, and Hall of Fame guard has the most points, assists, and steals, second-most blocks, and fourth-most rebounds in franchise history.

2. LeBron James 

Renowned for his superior athleticism, superhuman strength, scoring prowess, playmaking abilities, and defensive skills, LeBron James stands as arguably the greatest basketball player of all time.

“King James” led the Heat to the Finals in all four of his seasons in South Beach, winning it all in 2012 and 2013 and earning Finals MVP honours in both.

LeBron also led Miami to 27 straight wins during the 2012-2013 season, which is the second-longest winning streak of all time.

LeBron earned two MVP Awards and four First-Team All-NBA Team selections in a Heat uniform.

LeBron has the fourth-most points, fifth-most assists, and eighth-most steals in franchise history.

3. Alonzo Mourning 

A powerful force on both ends of the floor, Alonzo Mourning earned two Defensive Player of the Year Awards, two All-NBA, and two All-Defensive Team selections during his first stint with the Heat.

The Hall of Famer also finished second in MVP voting during the 1998-1999 season, and third the season after.

“Zo” has the most blocks and second-most points and rebounds in Heat history.

4. Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal finished second in MVP voting in his first season in Miami and also helped the Heat win a championship in his second season.

Shaq was an absolute menace inside the paint, as the Hall of Famer earned two All-NBA First-Team selections while rocking a Heat jersey.

5. Jimmy Butler

Jimmy Butler helped bring the Heat to the Finals in 2020 and 2023, as his hard-nosed style of play on both sides of the floor has reverberated around the organization.

“Jimmy Buckets” is known for his clutch shot-making and ability to create looks for himself against even some of the toughest defences, hence the nickname.

Butler has earned three All-NBA and one All-Defensive Team selections in a Heat uniform thus far.

6. Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh was an invaluable part of the Heat’s championship runs in 2012 and 2013, providing much-needed floor spacing and defence at the big man position to complement the games of LeBron and D-Wade.

The Hall of Famer has the fifth-most points, and eighth-most rebounds and blocks in franchise history.

7. Tim Hardaway 

Tim Hardaway finished fourth in MVP voting during the 1996-1997 season and earned three All-NBA Team selections during his time in Miami.

Hardaway has the second-most 3-pointers and assists, sixth-most steals, and 10th-most points in Heat history.
