Coming off a World Series appearance, the Toronto Blue Jays were aggressive throughout the offseason, including adding Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce to fortify their pitching staff.

Toronto’s baseball odds at the BetMGM online sportsbook price the Blue Jays among the World Series favourites.

Blue Jays World Series Odds

The Blue Jays’ World Series odds are +1300 ahead of their first full-squad workout in spring training.

Toronto opened at +2000 to win the 2026 World Series. The New York Yankees (+750) are the only American League team with shorter odds than the Jays at the time of writing.

The Los Angeles Dodgers (+225) are the World Series favourites at the time of writing. Los Angeles defeated the Jays in heartbreaking fashion in the 2025 World Series and has added more talent in the offseason.

In recent history, the 2015 Kansas City Royals and the 2022 Houston Astros bounced back from losing the Fall Classic to win the title in the following year.

Four different teams have made back-to-back World Series appearances in the last 20 years.

Expectations are high for the Jays in 2026. As spring training begins, the vibes are good, despite the departure of Bo Bichette in free agency. The rotation is among the strongest in baseball, and the lineup is stacked. Perhaps the most important question is whether this team can replicate such an impressive year in 2025.

Toronto Blue Jays American League East Odds

The Blue Jays are +275 to win the AL East on Feb. 16.

Toronto was an outsider for the division in 2025, but defied the odds to win 94 regular-season games and claim their first AL East title since 2016. The New York Yankees (+160) have the shortest odds to win the division.

Once again, the AL East looks like the most competitive division in baseball. Four of the five teams have a realistic chance of making the postseason.

Toronto Blue Jays American League Championship Odds

As of Feb. 16, the Blue Jays are +600 to win the American League.

Five AL teams are +900 or shorter. The Yankees and the Seattle Mariners are the only teams with shorter odds than the Jays. Notably, Toronto defeated both the Yankees and Mariners in the 2025 postseason.

Early signs from spring training suggest Jesús Sánchez and Kazuma Okamoto have seamlessly adjusted to their new team. All eyes will be on how the pair perform in spring training, with the Jays looking to replace Bichette’s offensive production.

Cease and Ponce are unlikely to pitch a high volume of innings in spring, but I will be monitoring how their stuff looks and whether the Jays have made any tweaks to their pitch mixes.

The first full-squad workout is on Feb. 16.
