- Aaron Judge (-5000) is the overwhelming AL MVP favourite.
- Shohei Ohtani (-500) is the heavy NL favourite.
- Pete Crow-Armstrong is Ohtani’s closest rival.
Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani are the AL and NL MVP favourites, respectively.
This page will be updated throughout the 2025 season with my latest MLB predictions for the two MVP awards.
2025 MLB Most Valuable Player Odds & Predictions
Prediction: Who Will Win the 2025 AL MVP?
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is the favourite to win 2025 American League MVP at -5000 ahead of:
- Cal Raleigh, Seattle Mariners (+600)
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays (+15000)
Judge is my best online sportsbook pick to win the 2025 AL MVP. The Yankees’ superstar is having another spectacular season and has the best OPS in the American League.

American League MVP Favourites & Best Bets
Aaron Judge AL MVP Odds -5000
Judge already has 5.6 bWAR. He has been in an offensive slump by his standards, however, with an .833 OPS over the last two weeks.
I think the Yankees outfielder has this award pretty much locked up. He would need to miss over a month through injury for this to even become a competitive race.
Cal Raleigh AL MVP Odds +600
Priced +2500 two weeks ago, Raleigh has shortened to +600 amid a spectacular hot streak. The Mariners star has the most home runs by any catcher before the All-Star break, smashing a record set by Johnny Bench.
Owning a 1.241 OPS over the last 28 days, this could end up being the greatest offensive season from a catcher in MLB history. It still won’t be enough to beat Judge.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. NL MVP Odds +15000
It’s been a good couple of weeks for Guerrero, with a .990 OPS and only six strikeouts.
Guerrero’s underlying numbers are as elite as ever across the board. His plate discipline is better than ever, and he’s in the 97th percentile in xwOBA.
Prediction: Who Will Win the 2025 NL MVP?
Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star Ohtani is the current favourite to win National League MVP in 2025 at -500, according to the latest baseball betting odds, followed by:
- Pete Crow-Armstrong, Chicago Cubs (+600)
- Corbin Carroll, Arizona Diamondbacks (+2000)
Ohtani is my pick to win National League MVP in 2025 because he has been the NL’s best hitter and has looked solid in his pitching comeback.
2025 NL MVP Odds
Player | Current Odds | Opening Odds | Team |
Shohei Ohtani | -500 | +175 | Dodgers |
Pete Crow-Armstrong | +600 | +20000 | Cubs |
Corbin Carroll | +2000 | +2500 | Diamondbacks |
Pete Alonso | +3000 | +5000 | Mets |
Fernando Tatis Jr. | +4000 | +800 | Padres |
Kyle Tucker | +4000 | +1200 | Cubs |
Freddie Freeman | +4000 | +3500 | Dodgers |
Francisco Lindor | +4000 | +1800 | Mets |
Juan Soto | +4000 | +550 | Mets |
Ronald Acuna Jr. | +5000 | +1800 | Braves |
Kyle Schwarber | +5000 | +8000 | Phillies |
National League MVP Favourites & Best Bets
Shohei Ohtani NL MVP Odds -500
Returning to the mound as an opener and with an OPS of .980 over the last fortnight, Ohtani’s odds have shortened from -303 on June 10 to -500 on June 23.
Like Judge, Ohtani will win MVP if he remains healthy for the rest of the season. His odds are only going to shorten from this point if he continues to trend in the right direction as a pitcher.
Pete Crow-Armstrong NL MVP Odds +600
Boasting a 1.282 OPS over the last week, Crow-Armstrong’s MVP odds have shortened to +600 from +1000 a week ago.
This is an unsustainable hot streak. Crow-Armstrong has decent raw power, but he chases too frequently and rarely earns walks as a result. I don’t think he will finish in the top three as an MVP.
Corbin Carroll NL MVP Odds +2000
With the Diamondbacks dropping out of contention, Carroll has faded to +2000 from +1100 a fortnight ago. The left-handed outfielder has a .997 OPS across that period.
Already with 20 home runs and 10 stolen bases, a 40-20 season is in play for the D-backs star.
