- The Dodgers (+250) are clear World Series favourites.
- The Tigers have the most wins in MLB.
- Houston’s odds have shortened dramatically.
The BetMGM online sportsbook makes the Los Angeles Dodgers overwhelming World Series favourites as of June 23.
The New York Yankees’ World Series odds have drifted to +600, having been +550 a couple of weeks ago.
Prediction: Who Will Win the World Series in 2025?
The Dodgers are the current favourites to win the World Series in 2025 with baseball odds of +250. These teams follow the Dodgers:
- New York Yankees (+600)
- Detroit Tigers (+700)
- New York Mets (+900)
- Philadelphia Phillies (+1000)
- Chicago Cubs (+1400)
- Houston Astros (+1400)
I predict the Tigers will win the 2025 World Series due to their strong rotation, improved lineup, and deep farm system, which gives them options at the trade deadline.

2025 World Series Favourites & Best Bets
Los Angeles Dodgers World Series Odds +250
Series wins over the San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and Washington Nationals have given the Dodgers a 3.5-game lead at the top of the NL West. Shohei Ohtani has also returned to the mound as an opener.
I expect the Dodgers to be aggressive at the trade deadline once again. The bullpen is a particular weakness, with the fifth-worst ERA in June.
New York Yankees World Series Odds +600
The Yankees are on a 3-7 slide. Their offence looks to have broken out of its deep slump, and the pitching has remained at a very high level, with both the rotation and bullpen ranking in the top 10 in ERA in June.
I am fascinated to see how the Yankees approach the trade deadline. Another bat would be useful, and a fourth starter would provide some insurance for Will Warren.
Detroit Tigers World Series Odds +700
With an 8.5-game lead in the AL Central, the Tigers have moved from +800 two weeks ago to +700 on June 23. The bullpen has become a bit of a concern with a 4.88 ERA this month.
I like the look of this Tigers team. Tarik Skubal leads an elite rotation, and the lineup is deep, though I think they could benefit from adding another bat before the trade deadline.
New York Mets World Series Odds +900
Despite going 2-8 over their last 10 games, the Mets have the second-shortest odds among National League teams. New York has slipped to second place in the division and has a 4.83 bullpen ERA in June.
Another infielder should be a priority for the Mets front office.
Philadelphia Phillies World Series Odds +1000
The Phillies have one of the best rotations in baseball. Their relief corps is, once again, a weakness, and the lineup hasn’t lived up to its reputation.
I don’t think there’s much the Phils can do to improve the lineup. The bullpen should be a relatively easy fix.
Chicago Cubs World Series Odds +1400
While still holding a comfortable lead in the division, the Cubs have had an underwhelming couple of weeks. They are 8-9 since June 3 and have only registered a 104 wRC+ since the start of this month.
I think the Cubs need to add a third baseman and another starting pitcher to be considered a serious World Series threat.
Houston Astros World Series Odds +1400
Priced +2000 a fortnight ago, the Astros have shortened to +1400. Houston has a five-game lead atop the American League West.
The Astros are in the top 10 in wRC+, rotation ERA, and bullpen ERA in June.
