  • A baseball weighs around 5 ounces.
  • Baseball bats are roughly 35 ounces.
  • A baseball cap usually weighs less than 100 grams.

The weight of a baseball might not be the first thing fans consider when looking at the baseball betting markets on the BetMGM online sportsbook

I previously answered how many baseballs are used in an MLB game. Now I am taking a look at the weight of a baseball.

How Much Does a Baseball Weigh?

A regulation baseball weighs between 5 and 5.25 ounces. This is 142 to 149 grams.

With dozens of baseballs used in each game at the MLB level, this adds up to a significant total weight of baseballs.

How Much Does a Baseball Bat Weigh?

Baseball bats usually weigh between 34 and 36 ounces (between 960 and 1,020 grams). The exact weight of a baseball bat is largely down to a player’s preference, however.

In the past, baseball bats weighing as much as 1.4 kilograms were used.

How Much Does a Baseball Cap Weigh?

The weight of a baseball cap varies significantly depending on the material. They are generally less than 4 ounces.
