Ravens vs. Steelers Prediction, Odds, & Best Bets: AFC Wild Card Playoffs

The wild-card round of the NFL playoffs gives us a third installment of this AFC North rivalry as the Baltimore Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers. 

The Ravens are third in Super Bowl odds at +600, while the Steelers are tied for last at +10000.

Below, I’ll dig into my prediction for this matchup, look at the odds, and find the best bets using football betting odds at the BetMGM online sportsbook. 

Ravens vs. Steelers Prediction: Steelers +10 (-110)

This is one of those games where all the logic points to the Ravens, but I can’t take them -10 against a division rival and in their third meeting this season. 

The Ravens carved up the Steelers 34-17 in Week 16, and quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for three touchdowns.

The Steelers managed to keep it close for a good chunk, though. The game was tied 17-17 with a few minutes remaining in the third quarter. 

One thing to look for is Steelers backup quarterback Justin Fields. 

With the season on the line, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin bring in Fields. He adds a different layer to the offence. 

It seems like a cop-out, but 10 points against two heat divisional rivals in a game where the total is just 43 points is too many to lay. 

I’ll hold my nose and take the Steelers. 

Ravens vs. Steelers Best Prop Bets

Derrick Henry Over 97.5 Rushing Yards (+140)

My best online sportsbook prop bet to make whenever the Ravens play always involves running back Derrick Henry, and I will double down on him here. 

Since his rookie season in 2016, Henry has run 118 times for 715 yards and six touchdowns in January. He’s averaging 6.06 yards per carry. 

The narrative that he heats up as game temperatures go down is real. 

In his last matchup against the Steelers, he ran 24 times for 162 yards. 

Additionally, he’s run for 98 yards or more in each of his last three games. 

Derrick Henry Anytime TD (-190)

The intriguing thing about Henry’s six touchdowns in January throughout his career is that they came in five games. 

He’s scored three times in his last two games and found the end zone in all but four games this season.

Expect him to get plenty of carries per usual. He’s had 20 or more in each of his last three games.
