  • The United States of America has the most UFC champions, with 58.
  • Brazil and Russia are second and third, with 20 and three UFC champions.
  • Seven other countries are tied with two UFC champions apiece.

The UFC is currently the leading MMA promotion in the world, having signed most of the best fighters. This gives the fans many exciting matches that spice up the MMA odds boards. Throughout its 30-year history, which country has produced the most champions in the Las Vegas-based promotion?

The United States of America leads the pack with 58 UFC champions. This is no surprise since the majority of the athletes competing in the promotion are Americans, especially during their early days in the 1990s and early 2000s. Several of the most notable American UFC champions were Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, and Stipe Miocic.

Following the USA on the list is Brazil, with 20 UFC champions. The Brazilians have thrived inside the Octagon thanks to their home-grown martial arts technique, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which has forced a lot of submissions in the UFC. The most noteworthy Brazilian titleholders are Anderson Silva, Charles Oliveira, Glover Teixeira, and Alex Pereira.

Claiming the third spot on the list is Russia, with three UFC champions. It’s a bit of a surprise that they have only had three titleholders since they have produced/can claim a lot of up-and-coming talents from the country. Khabib Nurmagomedov, Petr Yan, and Islam Makhachev are the fighters who have secured the UFC gold for them.

Rounding out the list are six countries with seven UFC champions apiece. These countries include Poland, Mexico, Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Nigeria, and England.
