- Caitlin Clark had multiple 20-plus point and 10-plus assist games.
- Clark is the fastest WNBA player to reach 500 points and 200 assists.
- Angel Reese is the first player to grab 20 rebounds in consecutive games.
Caitlin Clark’s (-10000) shooting and playmaking prowess has been a sight to see, justifying her short Rookie of the Year basketball odds.
Angel Reese’s (+1500) performance on the glass has been nothing short of impressive, adding intrigue to this debate.
Let’s take a look at the top two candidates for Rookie of the Year.
Odds to Win WNBA Rookie of the Year
Caitlin Clark Rookie of the Year Odds -10000
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark currently has -10000 odds to win the Rookie of the Year.
Clark’s WNBA odds of winning MVP at the BetMGM online sportsbook are among some of the greatest to play in the league, which is very impressive for a rookie.

While I don’t expect her to win the MVP, she should be seen as the runaway favourite to win Rookie of the Year, as the odds suggest.
At the time of this writing, Clark averages the most assists per game in the league at 8.1. Courtney Vandersloot is the only player to average more assists than that in a single season.
Clark also has the record for the most consecutive games of at least 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists and the most assists by a single player in a game, dishing out 19 dimes on July 17. She’s also the first player in the WNBA and NBA to put up over 25 points, 10 assists, at least five rebounds, five steals, five 3-pointers, and three blocks in a single game on July 10.
The Iowa product is the only rookie in WNBA history to register multiple 20-plus point and 10-plus assist efforts and a triple-double, which came on July 6 in a win over the league-leading New York Liberty.
Furthermore, she has the most assists and 3-pointers made by a rookie, is the first WNBA rookie to reach 400 points, 150 assists, and 100 rebounds in a season, and is the fastest WNBA player to reach 500 points and 200 assists.
After a slow 2-9 start to the season, Clark helped lead the Indiana Fever right back into playoff contention while boasting one of the best offensive ratings in the league.
Clark leads the league in the longest average distance of made 3-pointers this season at around 28 feet, roughly two more than the next closest player.
Clark’s ability to work off screens, create off the dribble, stop on a dime, attack the rim, and push the ball in transition, combined with her deep shooting prowess, gives opposing defences headaches nightly need to account for her no matter where she is on the court.
Clark has shattered numerous records, and it’s crazy to think how much more she can accomplish throughout her career.
Angel Reese Rookie of the Year Odds +1500
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese currently has +1500 odds to win the Rookie of the Year.
Reese set the WNBA record for the most consecutive games with a double-double at 15 and is the only player to grab at least 20 rebounds in consecutive games, doing it in three straight.
The LSU product is the first player in league history to record double-digit rebounds in at least 25 games, and there’s a strong possibility she will finish the season with the most double-doubles as a rookie in WNBA history.
Reese leads the league in total and offensive rebounds, speaking to her fearless approach down low.
Reese has an incredible motor, but she needs to work on her footwork and soft touch around the rim.
If she improves in those areas, she’s well on her way to being a yearly WNBA MVP candidate.
If not for Clark, Reese would’ve been the Rookie of the Year in most other seasons.
