Atlanta Dream
The Atlanta Dream reached the WNBA Finals in 2010, 2011, and 2013 but never won a single game in any of those series.
They did, however, get to the Finals in just their third year of existence.
Chicago Sky
The Chicago Sky won their first and only championship in 2021, taking down the Phoenix Mercury in four games. Kahleah Copper took home Finals MVP honours.
Chi-Town’s own Candace Parker was also part of that championship team.
Elena Delle Donne took home MVP honours in 2015.
Connecticut Sun
The Connecticut Sun got to the Finals in 2004 and 2005 but came away empty-handed.
Tina Charles (2012) and Jonquel Jones (2021) are the two MVPs in franchise history.
Dallas Wings
The Dallas Wings won all three of their championships (2003, 2006, 2008) while they were the Detroit Shock.
Ruth Riley (2003), Deanna Nolan (2006), and Katie Smith (2008) were the Finals MVPs.
Golden State Valkyries
The Golden State Valkyries will join the WNBA in 2025.
Indiana Fever
The Indiana Fever won their lone championship in 2012, taking down the Minnesota Lynx in four games. Tamika Catchings was named Finals MVP.
Catchings also won regular-season MVP honours in 2011.
All eyes will be on the Fever with Caitlin Clark in the fold for at least the next few seasons.

Las Vegas Aces
The Las Vegas Aces won championships in 2022 and 2023, and they often have short WNBA odds of winning it all.
Chelsea Gray was the Finals MVP in 2022. A’ja Wilson was the Finals MVP in 2023. Wilson also won regular-season MVP awards in 2020 and 2022.
Los Angeles Sparks

New York Liberty
The New York Liberty got to the Finals in 1999, 2000, and 2002 but have yet to win a championship.

Phoenix Mercury
The Phoenix Mercury won three championships (2007, 2009, 2014) in franchise history.
Cappie Pondexter (2007) and Diana Taurasi (2009, 2014) earned Finals MVPs. Taurasi also won the regular-season MVP in 2009.

The Seattle Storm have won four championships (2004, 2010, 2018, 2020).
Betty Lennox (2004) Lauren Jackson (2010), and Breanna Stewart (2018, 2020) were the Finals MVPs.

Washington Mystics
The Washington Mystics won their lone championship in 2019, taking down the Sun in five games. Emma Meesseman was the Finals MVP.
Elena Delle Donne was the regular-season MVP in 2019.
