For instance, if the line is 220.5, bettors choose to bet the over or the under. An over bet would pay out if the teams combined for 221 or more points. An under bet would only win if the teams combined for 220 or fewer points.

These are broken into five-point bands of 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, and 21+. For example, a bettor may wager that Toronto will beat Philadelphia by 6-10 points. This bet wins only if the margin falls within that range; it loses on any other outcome.
Moneyline and Total
Bettors can place a wager on the moneyline and total. This requires an accurate prediction for which team will win the game and an over/under pick for the game total.
For instance, a moneyline and total bet could include a bet on Los Angeles to beat San Francisco and an over 200.5 total points. For the bet to win, Los Angeles would have to win the game, and the teams would need to combine for at least 201 points.
