The UFC is the leading mixed martial arts organization in the world and is considered to have the best promotion due to the loaded roster of competing world-class athletes. Due to the high level of fights, the MMA odds of getting hit inside the Octagon are inevitable, but several athletes could still record the fewest strikes they absorbed during their run under the UFC.

But who among the hundreds of fighters in UFC history has been hit the least and recorded the most minimal strikes absorbed? Find out in the table below. Note that the names in this category are fighters with at least five UFC fights.

1. Jailton Almeida, 1.02 Significant Strikes Absorbed Per Minute

Jailton Almeida is a ranked heavyweight contender who won eight of his 10 fights in the UFC. He sports an MMA record of 22 wins and four losses. Almeida uses his high-level BJJ skills to take his opponents down and avoid strikes, and he set the record for the least significant strikes absorbed per minute with 1.02

2. Pete Spratt, 1.04 Significant Strikes Absorbed Per Minute

Pete Spratt was a former lightweight fighter in the UFC during the early 2000s, appearing in seven bouts.

In those fights, he recorded three wins and four losses, and despite the dreadful win-loss card in the Las Vegas-based promotion, he was able to chalk up the second-best significant strikes absorbed per minute of 1.04. 

3. Pat Sabatini, 1.09 Significant Strikes Absorbed Per Minute

Pat Sabatini made his Octagon debut in April 2021 and quickly made a name for himself by picking up four straight victories, including one submission finish.

He utilizes top-notch BJJ skills against his opponents to minimize damage and maneuver his way to a win. Sabatini only has 1.09 significant strikes absorbed per minute.

4. Ivan Salaverry, 1.15 Significant Strikes Absorbed Per Minute

Ivan Salaverry and Tatsuro Taira are tied in the fourth spot of the least significant strikes absorbed per minute category with 1.15. The latter was a former middleweight fighter in the 2000s who won three UFC fights in seven bouts.

5. Jon Madsen, 1.18 Significant Strikes Absorbed Per Minute

Rounding out the list of UFC fighters with the least significant strikes absorbed is Jon Madsen, who was a heavyweight contender during the late 2000s and early 2010s. He competed in five UFC bouts and won four.

His last appearance inside the Octagon happened in March 2011, and he received a second-round TKO loss. Since that defeat, he has never been seen in the UFC again.

Who Has the Most Strikes Landed in UFC History?

Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway is the record holder for the most strikes landed in UFC history with 3,655.

He leads this category by a mile, as the next fighter on the list (Angela Hill) has only 2,242. Holloway accumulated this incredible number with 31 fights under the promotion.
