Interim titles and the BMF title are not included in the official count since these belts are not regularly being fought for. The interim title is only at stake when the undisputed champion is unable to compete, and two top contenders are pitted against each other for it. Meanwhile, the BMF title is being fought between two of the most exciting fighters in the same weight class.

Are UFC Title Fights Always Five Rounds?
UFC title fights are always five rounds of five-minute duration. Title fights have five rounds because it gives the fighters more time to prove they are the best, which is why Rounds 4 and 5 are also called the “championship rounds.”
What Is a BMF Belt?
The BMF belt of the Baddest M—F— belt was first introduced in 2019 after fan-favourite Nate Diaz floated the idea that he and Jorge Masvidal should fight for that belt to determine who the BMF is among them. They headlined UFC 244 inside the Madison Square Garden and fought for that belt.
Eventually, Masvidal scored a TKO stoppage of Diaz to become the inaugural BMF title holder. This belt came back in July when former UFC lightweight title contenders Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier were pitted against each other for the title. Gaethje knocked out Poirier via a nasty head kick to earn the title.
