  • Here’s a list of the highest-paid Canadian UFC fighters of all time.
  • Georges St-Pierre made over seven million during his illustrious career.
  • Other Canadian UFC fighters on the list are Rory MacDonald, Felicia Spencer, Randa Markos, and John Makdessi.

Canada has produced some of the best and most exciting UFC fighters that graced the Octagon.

The most popular and notable MMA athlete is Georges St-Pierre, a former UFC welterweight and UFC middleweight champion before hanging up the gloves for good in 2017.

“Rush’s” well-rounded skills made him a perpetual favorite in online sports betting via UFC odds, and along the way, he earned an estimated $7 million to become the highest-paid Canadian UFC fighter ever.

RankFightersEstimated Career Earnings
1Georges St-Pierre$7,037,000
2John Makdessi$1,502,000
3Rory MacDonald$949,000
4Randa Markos$761,500
5Felicia Spencer$347,000

Georges St-Pierre – $7,037,000

One of the best Canadian UFC fighters of all time, St-Pierre is also the highest-paid Canadian fighter, with an estimated earnings of over $7 million.

He accumulated this hefty amount of money through his 23 UFC fights, with his biggest single-fight payout being his last fight against Michael Bisping, where he bagged a whopping $2.5 million.

John Makdessi – $1,502,000

Following St-Pierre on this list is lightweight contender John Makdessi, who amassed a total of $1.5 million in his 20-fight career under the Las Vegas-based promotion across 13 years. He made his UFC debut in Dec. 2010 and last fought in Sept. 2023.

“The Bull” racked up a UFC record of 11 wins and nine losses. Among his most notable wins were against Kyle Watson, Sam Stout, Shane Campbell, and Jesus Pinedo. The single highest payout Makdessi received was after fighting Ignacio Bahamondes in April 2021, where he secured $210,000.

Rory MacDonald – $949,000

UFC legend Rory MacDonald sits in the third spot with an estimated career UFC earning of $949,000 in just 13 bouts in the promotion. His four $50,000 performance bonuses and fight of the night honors further secured him a bigger payday. His three biggest UFC money fights were against Tarec Saffiedine ($162,000), Demian Maia ($150,000), and Robbie Lawler ($139,000).

MacDonald has since moved to other fight promotions and added more money to his bank account, as he’s guaranteed to earn at least $100,000 per fight. He made his Bellator debut in May 2017 and last fought in the PFL in August 2022.

“The Red King” has competed in six Bellator fights and won the Bellator welterweight title and six more fights under the Professional Fighters League, where he racked up a total record of five wins, six losses, and one draw.  His last fight against Dilano Taylor was his last professional MMA bout.

Randa Markos – $761,500

Markos is a UFC veteran who started competing in the UFC in 2014. Since then, she has fought in 18 fights inside the Octagon. Among these fights were victories over Aisling Daly, Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger, Carla Esparza, Juliana Lima, and Ashley Yoder. Because of these wins, she became a top contender in the strawweight division.

Meanwhile, she absorbed losses at the hands of Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Cortney Casey, Alexa Grasso, Amanda Ribas, and Mackenzie Dern. The losses that she received prevented her from making a serious title run, and she left the sport without having an opportunity to win a belt.

Because of this lengthy career, she was able to earn a total of over $700,000, with her most significant single-fight salary of $110,000 coming against a first-round submission of Angela Hill in March 2019, where she bagged an additional $50,000 bonus for the performance of the night.

Felicia Spencer – $347,000

Meanwhile, Felicia Spencer has earned over $300,000 in just six fights since her UFC debut in May 2019. She was a high-profile prospect before joining the promotion because of her undefeated record of six wins with four finishes, which saw her win the Invicta FC women’s featherweight title.

Spencer’s biggest payday was when she fought Amanda Nunes for the UFC women’s featherweight title in June 2020. The “FeeNom” secured $155,000 from that fight alone. She wasn’t able to secure a single $50K bonus from the UFC, but she earned them three times during her time in Invicta FC.

Spencer’s other payouts were against Letson ($66,000), Zarah Fairn ($37,500), Norma Dumont ($34,500), Megan Anderson ($33,500), and Cris Cyborg ($20,000). She hasn’t fought an MMA fight since, either in the UFC or in other organizations.
