The upcoming middleweight fight between ranked contenders Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen will be the latest installment of a UFC card in Vancouver, as the two face each other on Oct. 18.
Before the latest UFC Vancouver card, the last event the promotion held was UFC 289, a PPV card in June 2023. Among these UFC cards in Vancouver, the majority of the venue was the Rogers Arena, and three of the seven main event fights were championship matches.

UFC Vancouver: de Ridder vs. Allen – 10/18/2025
The bout between de Ridder and Allen will significantly improve their MMA odds of fighting for the UFC title, as the winner can be the outright challenger for Khamzat Chimaev’s crown. Making this event even more exciting are Canadian fighters who will also be on the card.
Parading the fighters from the Great White North are Mike Malott, Aiemann Zahabi, Jasmine Jasudavicius, Kyle Nelson, Charles Jourdain, and Kyle Prepolec. They are all looking to send the entire arena into a frenzy with victories in their respective fights.
UFC 289: Nunes vs. Aldana – 06/10/2023
Amanda Nunes last defended her UFC women’s bantamweight title in June 2023 at UFC 289 against Irene Aldana with a dominant unanimous decision victory. Following this triumph, she announced her retirement from the sport.
In the co-main event, former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira scored a first-round TKO win over Beneil Dariush to secure an additional $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Other UFC stars on the same card are Dan Ige, Nassourdine Imavov, Miranda Maverick, and Steve Erceg.
UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Gaethje – 09/14/2019
Former UFC interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje proved that he was one of the most exciting fighters in the sport when he knocked out Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC Fight Night in September 2019.
The card also featured several UFC legends and stars, including Glover Teixeira, Uriah Hall, Jimmy Crute, Marcin Tybura, Michel Pereira, and Nikita Krylov, who graced the octagon with entertaining fights. Over 15,000 fans witnessed the event live.
UFC on Fox 21: Maia vs. Condit – 08/27/2016
Demian Maia established himself as a legit contender in the welterweight division when he submitted former title challenger Carlos Condit in the main event of UFC on Fox 21 card in August 2016 at Rogers Arena.
The Brazilian MMA star made quick work of Condit with a first-round finish. Other UFC stars such as Oliveira, Anthony Pettis, Paige VanZant, Jim Miller, Joe Lauzon, and Sam Alvey made this event more memorable and exciting.
UFC 174: Johnson vs. Bagautinov – 06/14/2014
Demetrious Johnson’s fourth title defence of his UFC flyweight title headlined the UFC 174 card in June 2014 against Ali Bagautinov at the Rogers Arena in front of over 13,000 fans. “Mighty Mouse” displayed his dominance and secured another unanimous decision victory.
Joining Johnson and Bagautinov on the same card were other notable fighters like Rory MacDonald, Tyron Woodley, Ryan Bader, Andrei Arlovski, Ovince Saint Preux, and Brendan Schaub.
UFC 131: dos Santos vs. Carwin – 06/11/2011
The headliner of UFC 131 was the last UFC fight of former heavyweight champion Shane Carwin, which took place in June 2011 at Rogers Arena. Carwin fought Junior dos Santos and received a tough unanimous decision loss.
This event also saw other up-and-coming contenders who eventually became top contenders and fan favourites like Maia, Cerrone, Dustin Poirier, Sam Stout, Chris Weidman, and Darren Elkins.
UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin – 06/12/2010
The very first UFC card in Vancouver was headlined by the light heavyweight match between Chuck Liddell and Rich Franklin in June 2010. This match seemed to be the passing of the torch, as Franklin finished Liddell in the opening round.
In the co-headliner, Mirko Cro Cop submitted Pat Barry in the third and final round. Other notable names included on the card were Ben Rothwell, Condit, MacDonald, Mike Pyle, and Peter Sobotta.
