UFC 315: Muhammad vs. Della Maddalena – 05/10/2025

The most recent UFC card in Montreal was the UFC welterweight title match between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena, held last May at the Bell Centre. It also featured the UFC women’s flyweight title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Manon Fiorot as the co-main event.

The event also featured six Canadian fighters, including Brad Katona, Marc-Andre Barriault, Jasmine Jasudavicius, Mike Malott, Kyle Prepolec, and Aiemann Zahabi, who entertained the 19,789 fans in attendance.

UFC 186: Johnson vs. Horiguchi – 04/25/2015

The sixth title defence of Demetrious Johnson’s UFC flyweight title became the headliner of UFC 186 in April 2015 at Bell Centre. It was the last UFC card that Montreal hosted before UFC 315.

Johnson dominated throughout the championship fight before the buzzer-beating arm-bar submission win in the fifth and final round. Seven Canadian fighters competed in the event, alongside UFC stars Rampage Jackson and Michael Bisping.

UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz – 03/16/2013

St-Pierre’s 10th title defence of his UFC welterweight title took place in March 2013 against Nick Diaz, who was one of the most beloved fighters in the sport’s history. It was yet another dominant performance from “Rush,” who ended the fight with a unanimous decision victory.

They thrilled the 20,145 fans at the Bell Centre, as other stars, including Carlos Condit, Johny Hendricks, and Jake Ellenberger, were also featured in the PPV event. Other Canadian athletes who are part of the card were Cote, Jordan Mein, and John Makdessi.

UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit – 11/17/2012

Another dangerous contender challenged St-Pierre’s reign as the undisputed UFC welterweight king in November 2012, as Condit stepped in to face him in the headliner of UFC 154 at the Bell Centre.

It was an incredible performance by GSP, but “The Natural Born Killer’s” power punching was also a constant threat throughout the championship match, and grit made it competitive. It was witnessed by 17,249 fans.

UFC 124: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck 2 – 12/11/2010

The highly anticipated rematch between St-Pierre and Josh Koscheck was the most attended UFC card in Montreal, as the two went head-to-head in front of 23,152 fans at the Bell Centre. It was GSP’s sixth title defence and was a successful one, as he won unanimously.

Aside from this title match in the card’s main event, the UFC also added stars like Stefan Struve, Jim Miller, Charles Oliveira, and Thiago Alves to make the card even more exciting. Expectations were high in this event, and they all delivered.

UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun 2 – 05/08/2010

Canadian fans witnessed the second meeting between Lyoto Machida and Shogun Rua in May 2010, as they fought for the UFC light heavyweight title at the Bell Centre. Rua exacted revenge over Machida with a first-round finish to become the king of the division.

Machida previously defeated Rua by decision in their first fight, which took place in October 2009. Also on this particular card are other notable stars, including Jeremy Stephens, Koscheck, and the legendary Kimbo Slice.

UFC 97: Redemption – 04/19/2009

Anderson Silva was a savage champion during his reign as the undisputed UFC middleweight champion. One victim of his viciousness during his prime years was Thales Leites, who challenged him for the belt in April 2009 at UFC 97.

The event took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal with 21,451 fans in attendance. Silva displayed his top-tier striking skills, which helped him secure a unanimous decision win over Leites. Rua, Chuck Liddell, and Sam Stout also competed in the card.

UFC 83: Serra vs. St-Pierre 2 – 04/19/2008

Matt Serra was the second fighter to defeat St-Pierre in his professional MMA career, which is why their rematch in April 2008 drew 21,390 fans to the Bell Centre. It was a sweet revenge for St-Pierre, who finished Serra in the second round with ground-and-pound.

This triumph marked the start of GSP’s dominance and reign in the 170-pound weight class. It was a stacked card, featuring other UFC stars, including Cain Velasquez, Bisping, Demian Maia, Rich Franklin, and Travis Lutter, who also competed in the event.
