India are overwhelming cricket betting favourites at the BetMGM online sportsbook for the T20 World Cup final on Sunday. New Zealand upset the odds to defeat South Africa on Wednesday behind a spectacular innings from Finn Allen.

India are defending champions, while New Zealand are looking to win their first ICC white-ball event after losing three previous finals across the 50-over and T20 competitions.

India vs. New Zealand Predictions

I predict India will defeat New Zealand in the World Cup final on Sunday and become the first country to win three T20 World Cups.

India’s depth of batting and the relentless effectiveness of Jasprit Bumrah make them a very hard team to beat in home conditions.

India vs. New Zealand Best Bets

New Zealand’s best chance is that this is a lower-scoring match than India’s semi-final. I think it gets out of reach for the Kiwis if it’s a 200+ match, but if it’s a slower pitch, India becomes a bit more vulnerable.

The guile of the New Zealand pace attack becomes crucial. Matt Henry striking in the powerplay is going to be key, regardless of the surface. Henry is +270 to be New Zealand’s top bowler.

In the batting department, it’s all about the openers. New Zealand have other good batters, but they need Finn Allen and Tim Seifert to get them off to a flyer. Allen, fresh off a spectacular century against South Africa, is +290 to score a fifty.

Sanju Samson has been India’s in-form man with the bat, ably supported by Ishan Kishan. There were contributions all the way down the order against England, and Suryakumar Yadav remains incredibly dangerous.

I predict Samson will be India’s top batter. He has been phenomenal in the last two matches, albeit with a bit of good fortune on Thursday.
