  • Only five teams have won all four English leagues.
  • Only four teams have won all four trophies.
  • No English team has won the quadruple.

If you’re creating a quiz for friends, make sure to include which team or teams have won all four English leagues.

The challenges of conquering such an improbable feat are innumerable, as a club must spend time in each of England’s four professional divisions.

That means as many good times as bad for supporters of the select few club sharing that rarified air.

So, who are the select few, and has any English team come close to winning the quadruple?

Which Team Has Won All Four English Leagues?

There are four professional divisions in England, and only five teams have won all of them: Burnley, Wolverhampton, Preston North End, Sheffield United, and Manchester United.

No team has achieved this feat since the inception of the Premier League in 1992-93.

Burnley became the last team to join the contingent by winning the fourth division in 1991-92.

Has Any Team Won All Four Trophies?

Since the first season of the Premier League, only four teams have won the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup, and the League Cup – known as the Carabao Cup.

Those teams are: Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

Manchester United has won the Premier League the most times (13). They’ve also won the FA Cup 13 times, second to Arsenal’s 14.

Liverpool has the most Champions League victories (six) and League Cup triumphs (10).

Has Any English Team Won the Quadruple?

No English club has won the quadruple, with Manchester United and Manchester City coming closest by winning the treble.

Manchester United won the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League in the 1998-99 season, bowing out to eventual winners Tottenham in the quarterfinals.

In the 2022-23 season, Manchester City matched United’s accomplishment. They, too, fell short in the League Cup, losing to Southampton in the quarterfinals.

Liverpool won the double in the 2021-22 season, claiming the FA Cup and League Cup. They lost the Premier League by a point to Manchester City and fell 1-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
