Who Are the Highest-Paid EPL Players?
1. Erling Haaland (Manchester City): $37.1 million
Erling Haaland averages 0.95 league goals per 90 minutes since joining Manchester City. Despite a relative down year in 2024-25, the Norwegian topped the Premier League in non-penalty expected goals per 90 minutes.
Very few players in the world have higher salaries than Haaland.
2. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool): $28.2 million
A perennial favourite for the Golden Boot in EPL odds, Mohamed Salah penned a two-year contract extension with Liverpool in the summer of 2025.
Salah’s future at Anfield was unclear with his contract expiring, but Liverpool coughed up the big bucks to keep the Egyptian star at the club.
T-3. Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool): $24.7 million
Like with Salah, Liverpool were at risk of losing Virgil van Dijk at the end of last season. The Reds managed to agree on a new contract for van Dijk, keeping him on Merseyside until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Even at 34 years old, the Dutchman remains one of the best defenders in the world.
T-3. Casemiro (Manchester United): $24.7 million
Since arriving from Real Madrid in August 2022, Casemiro hasn’t had the impact that Manchester United hoped. The Red Devils have remained long shots for Champions League qualification in the soccer betting markets at the BetMGM online sportsbook.
Into his age-33 season, the Brazilian has been a long way from the player he was for Real Madrid. His decline has been dramatic, and United have been unable to shift his salary.
5. Raheem Sterling (Chelsea): $22.9 million
Raheem Sterling only played 499 league minutes during his loan spell at Arsenal last season. He is surplus to requirements at Chelsea, but the Blues were unable to arrange a permanent move for the former Liverpool man.
Enzo Maresca has made it clear Sterling isn’t part of his plans. It seems unlikely he will ever play for Chelsea again.
T-6. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United): $21.2 million
Despite interest from the Saudi Pro League, Bruno Fernandes remains a Manchester United player.
Fernandes has been one of the very few positives for the Red Devils over the last few seasons. He’s also into his 30s and doesn’t have a long-term future in the Premier League.
T-6. Bernardo Silva (Manchester City): $21.2 million
Bernardo Silva has been integral to Manchester City’s success since he signed with the club in 2017. Links with Barcelona have been frequent, but City have retained their Portuguese midfield magician.
Silva’s time in Manchester could be drawing to a close. His contract expires at the end of the 2025-26 season.
8. Omar Marmoush (Manchester City): $20.8 million
Signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for around $80 million in January 2025, Omar Marmoush was made one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.
He quickly made an impact at City with an impressive debut. He scored seven goals in his first 16 Premier League appearances.
T-9. Alexander Isak (Liverpool): $19.8 million
After a drawn-out transfer saga, Alexander Isak finally forced his way from Newcastle to Liverpool. It took a Premier League-record transfer fee, but the reigning Premier League champions got their man.
Isak excelled with Newcastle after signing from Real Sociedad. He is one of the best strikers in world soccer.
T-9. Kai Havertz (Arsenal): $19.8 million
Kai Havertz didn’t live up to expectations at Chelsea after arriving as one of the best young players in the world. Arsenal was willing to take a chance on the German and made him one of the highest-paid players in the world in the 2023 summer transfer window.
Clearly talented and hard-working, Havertz has been a focal point for the Gunners’ attack over the last couple of seasons.
11. Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal): $18.7 million
Winner of four Premier League titles with City, Gabriel Jesus joined Arsenal in 2022. Scoring 19 goals across his first two seasons at the Emirates, the Brazilian is a long way down the pecking order in 2025-26.
With a contract that doesn’t expire until after 2026-27, Arsenal are likely stuck with his bloated salary on their books.
