Of the 12 Canadians to have appeared in the Premier League, only six have played in more than 35 matches. Three have reached triple figures in Premier League appearances.
These Canadians weren’t featuring on teams that were among the soccer betting favourites for the EPL title at the BetMGM online sportsbook, but several had lengthy Premier League careers.

1. Tomasz Radzinski — 194
Tomasz Radzinski moved to the Premier League in 2001. At the time, Everton’s transfer fee was the largest ever paid for a Canadian player.
Three years later, Radzinski requested a transfer and moved to Fulham, where he remained until 2007. At the international level, Radzinski scored 10 goals, but his career was defined by controversy after a fallout with the Canadian Soccer Association in 1999.
2. Junior Hoilett — 161
Junior Hoilett turned down a trial at Manchester United to sign with Blackburn Rovers after impressing in a youth tournament. Boasting elite pace, Hoilett spent three seasons with Blackburn before moving to QPR.
Two relegations were suffered during his time in West London. He joined Cardiff in 2016 and spent one season in the Premier League before a third relegation of his career.
3. Craig Forrest — 107
Enjoying a 17-year career as a goalkeeper, Craig Forrest spent most of his playing career with Ipswich Town.
Forrest also made Premier League appearances for Chelsea, where he was on a short-term loan, and West Ham, where he served as backup.
4. Scott Arfield — 86
Born in Scotland, Scott Arfield represented his country of birth at the under-19 and under-21 levels. He switched to Canada in 2016. Arfield was eligible for Canada because his father was born in Toronto.
An industrious midfielder, Arfield made all of his Premier League appearances during his time with Burnley. He appeared 37 times when the Clarets were relegated in 2014-15, but was an integral part of the team that earned promotion in the following campaign.
5. Paul Stalteri — 55
Canada’s all-time Premier League appearance leader between 2010 and November 2015, Paul Stalteri, spent three seasons in the EPL.
Stalteri was a regular in his first season with Tottenham, but saw his minutes cut significantly in his second campaign following the arrival of Pascal Chimbonda. He spent a few months on loan at Fulham in 2008 before returning to Germany with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
