Only one Canadian golfer has won a Masters title.

As a result, there are plenty of golfers to choose from when trying to identify the best Canadian golfers to have never won at Augusta.

Best Canadian Golfers Without a Masters Title

George Knudson

George Knudson is tied with Mike Weir, the only Canadian golfer to win a major, for the most PGA Tour titles with eight. Knudson appeared in seven Masters and only failed to make the cut on one occasion.

His three top-10 finishes included a runner-up finish in 1969 and a tie for sixth in 1966. Along with his success on the PGA Tour, Knudson also won the Canadian PGA Championship on five occasions.

Moe Norman

Admired by Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, and various other sporting greats, Moe Norman failed to make the cut in his only Masters appearance, but that doesn’t undermine his brilliance.

Norman won 65 events on the Canadian Golf Tour. His swing was so repeatable that he could hit the ball perfectly straight over and over again. In a different era, he would have been a consistent contender for major titles.

Stephen Ames

Stephen Ames won the Players Championship in 2006 and reached 17th in the world rankings in 2004. His record at the Masters wasn’t great, with only one finish higher than 20th in his five appearances at Augusta National.

Still, Ames clocked four PGA Tour wins throughout his career and had six top 10 finishes at the other three majors to go with his Players Championship triumph.

Corey Conners

He might not be a regular PGA Tour betting favourite at the BetMGM sportsbook, but Corey Conners has four top 10 finishes at the Masters and a pair of PGA Tour titles to his name.

Conners also has top 10 placings at the U.S. Open and Open Championship to go with several strong showings at the Players Championship.

Nick Taylor

Nick Taylor tied for 29th at the Masters in 2020 and made the cut at Augusta National in 2025. He’s won five PGA Tour events and has won an event in each of the last three seasons.

Taylor has yet to really establish himself at the majors with plenty of disappointments throughout his career, but he’s been a consistent performer on the PGA Tour over the last decade.
