According to Forbes’ list of billionaires, Brian Roberts is worth an estimated $1.6 billion, thanks to his role as chairman and CEO of Comcast.

Among his most prominent assets through Comcast include not only the Flyers, but also the UK-based media and telecom conglomerate Sky.

How Did Brian Roberts Make His Money?

Roberts primarily inherited his fortune from his father, Ralph Roberts, the founder of Comcast in the late 1960s. 

According to Forbes, the younger Roberts, meanwhile, first served as an intern with Comcast at age 15, and later became president of the company in 1990, roughly 16 years later. 

By the late 1990s, Ralph had transferred the majority of his voting shares to Brian, who now holds roughly a third of the company’s voting power. 

How Much of Comcast Does Brian Roberts Own?

Roberts is estimated to hold just 1% of Comcast’s total equity. He maintains a much larger share of voting power through ownership of 100% of Class B supervoting shares, giving him a 33.3% voting stake. 

How Much Does Brian Roberts Make at Comcast?

According to Yahoo News Canada, Brian Roberts’ total compensation in 2024 totaled an estimated $33.9 million. 

That included a $2.5 million base salary, over $23 million in stock and option awards, and a $7.5 million bonus.

His 2025 compensation has not been reported as of March 2026.
