Dallas looks every bit the dangerously deep team we expected entering the playoffs. The Stars have outscored the Avalanche 9-4 across the last two games while dominating on special teams. Peter Deboer’s squad potted two power-play goals and added a short-handed marker to lift them to victory.
On the other side of the Western bracket, the Canucks overcame a 4-1 lead to take Game 1. Before the Oilers bounced back with a Game 2 overtime winner at home.
