Having officially qualified for the postseason, the Ottawa Senators’ Stanley Cup odds are among the 10 shortest.

With the third-best points percentage (.733) since Jan. 25, the Sens will finish as the first or second wild-card team.

Ottawa Senators Playoff Odds & Chances

The Ottawa Senators’ odds to win the Stanley Cup are off the board.

The Senators’ impressive run has their hockey odds to win the Stanley Cup at the BetMGM online sportsbook consistently improving.

That didn’t seem possible when they were languishing near the bottom of the standings at the end of January.

The Sens thrived even without Jake Sanderson, sporting a 6-2-0 record before Thomas Chabot sustained an injury against the New York Rangers on March 23.

The team deserves credit for playing winning hockey despite not having Sanderson, their No. 1 defenceman and the team leader in ice time.

The Sens also had a winning record (4-3-1) without Chabot, who returned to the lineup in a 5-1 win against the Florida Panthers on April 9, weeks earlier than expected.

Sanderson returned to the lineup against the Minnesota Wild on April 4, playing almost 25 minutes. He followed that up with an assist in the 6-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, logging 26 minutes, 47 seconds of ice time.

His best game since returning came against the Tampa Bay Lightning, when he scored two goals to help his team secure a 6-2 victory.

We’re still waiting to see who they will face in the postseason, but the most likely opponent is the Hurricanes.

Senators Wild Card Standings

The Senators clinched one of the wild-card spots. They are a point behind the Boston Bruins with one remaining game.

Senators’ Remaining Schedule

The Sens’ only remaining game is at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday.
