- The Vegas Golden Knights are -125 favourites in Game 5 at T-Mobile Arena.
- After winning Game 4, the Edmonton Oilers have -1000 odds to win the series.
- Vegas is a +650 underdog to reach the conference finals.
The Edmonton Oilers moved within a game of their third conference finals appearance in four seasons with a 3-0 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night.
Adam Henrique scored a pair of first-period goals, and Stuart Skinner stopped all 23 shots he faced to help the Oilers take a 3-1 lead in their second-round series.
Before these Pacific Division rivals head back to Vegas for Game 5 on Wednesday, I’ll examine the latest NHL betting odds and make my Oilers vs. Golden Knights best bets.

Oilers vs. Golden Knights Series Winner Odds
After defending home ice in Game 4, the Oilers’ hockey odds to win the series shortened from -250 to -1000 at the BetMGM Sportsbook. That number gives Edmonton an implied probability of 90.9% to seal the deal.
Meanwhile, Vegas saw its odds fall from +200 to +650, implying the Golden Knights have just a 13.3% chance to win three consecutive contests.

Oilers vs. Golden Knights Predictions & Best Bets for Game 5
Vegas is on the brink of elimination heading into Wednesday’s contest at T-Mobile Arena, but I’m backing the Golden Knights (-125) to win Game 5 with my best online sportsbook pick.
Bruce Cassidy’s squad has dropped three of its last four home games, including Games 1 and 2 against the Oilers. But the Knights typically defended “The Fortress” during the regular season, posting a 29-9-3 record on home ice.
I’m also expecting some negative regression from Edmonton goaltender Stuart Skinner, who posted his second career playoff shutout after allowing at least four goals in each of his three previous starts this postseason.
With that in mind, I’m backing Pavel Dorofeyev or Tomas Hertl to score (-111) for the Golden Knights. The pair combined for 67 goals during the regular season and have added four more in the playoffs, and Vegas needs its 30-goal scorers to produce with the campaign on the brink.
Dorofeyev and Hertl accounted for 1.14 of Vegas’ 2.23 expected goals in Game 4, per MoneyPuck, while recording five of the team’s 23 shots on target. They’re generating high-danger opportunities, and I think one of them will put one away in Game 5 to help the hosts stave off elimination.
NHL teams trailing 3-1 in a best-of-seven series have historically come back to advance just 9.1% of the time, so there’s not much value in the series winner market. However, since I’m backing the Golden Knights to force a Game 6, I’m intrigued by the Oilers to win 4-2 (+185), as Edmonton would be a sizable favourite in a close-out game at Rogers Place.
