Only three players from the 2017-18 expansion season are still playing for the Vegas Golden Knights. They top the list of most playoff games for the Golden Knights through nine seasons.
They are joined by five others who enjoyed a ton of playoff hockey in Las Vegas over a relatively short period.

8. Nicolas Roy (79 Games)
Nicolas Roy has played in six playoffs, five of which were with the Golden Knights. Playing for the Colorado Avalanche, he faced his former team in the 2026 Western Conference final.
Roy played 79 games in five playoffs with the Golden Knights from 2019 to 2025, winning the Cup in 2023 and advancing to the conference final three times.
7. William Carrier (81 Games)
William Carrier played in 81 games with the Golden Knights in six playoff appearances from 2018 to 2024 before signing with the Carolina Hurricanes.
In his eight playoffs, Carrier made it to at least the conference final six times. He won the 2023 Stanley Cup with Vegas.
6. Jonathan Marchessault (95 Games)
In six playoffs with the Golden Knights, Jonathan Marchessault played 95 games, advanced to four conference finals and won the Stanley Cup.
He’s also among those with the most goals by a Golden Knight in the playoffs.
5. Mark Stone (102 Games)
Mark Stone has played 102 playoff games with the Golden Knights, and he’s far from done. Vegas’ captain, 34, should have a few more playoff runs left in his aging legs.
And I’d be surprised if he doesn’t ink a new deal that sees him stay in Sin City. Stone is also among the Golden Knights with the most goals in one playoff.
4. Reilly Smith (105 Games)
Reilly Smith played for the Golden Knights during their first six seasons before suiting up for the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers in 2023-24 and 2024-25, respectively.
The Golden Knights brought Smith back before the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs. Smith has made it to the conference final in five of his seven playoffs with the Golden Knights and also won the 2023 Stanley Cup.
3. Brayden McNabb (120 Games)
Brayden McNabb is one of a few remaining players from the Golden Knights’ inaugural season. Participating throughout the duration of the Golden Knights’ playoff history, he’s seen it all during his nine seasons in Sin City.
2. William Karlsson (121 Games)
Like McNabb, William Karlsson has been around since the start, and he’s looking to win his second Stanley Cup with the team he has spent nine of 11 seasons with.
1. Shea Theodore (127 Games)
The third and final member of the original misfits, Shea Theodore, has played in 127 of the Golden Knights’ 128 playoff games. I don’t count Smith, as he departed for a couple of seasons before returning.
He played 20 playoff games with the Anaheim Ducks before arriving in Las Vegas for the start of the Golden Knights’ maiden season.
Theodore, Karlsson, and McNabb have become accustomed to seeing the Golden Knights among the Stanley Cup odds favourites.
