The Carolina Hurricanes have been among the Stanley Cup odds contenders at the BetMGM online sportsbook since Rod Brind’Amour took the helm in 2018.

Their success is thanks to his top-tier coaching, the team’s collective buy-in, and a few players’ ability to consistently produce in the playoffs.

Brind’Amour also did his part as a player in the previous golden generation, finding his way onto the list of most playoff goals.

8. Kevin Dineen (17 Goals)

Kevin Dinneen scored each of his 17 playoff goals with the Hartford Whalers between 1985 and 1991. Dinneen scored the most in his first playoffs, netting six in 10 games during the 1986 postseason.

7. Rod Brind’Amour (18 Goals)

One of the most influential players in the Hurricanes’ playoff history, Brind’Amour tallied 18 goals in only four postseasons with Carolina.

He exploded for 12 during the 2006 Stanley Cup run, three times more than his second-best mark in the previous playoffs. Brind’Amour scored four in the first round against the Montreal Canadiens and three versus the Edmonton Oilers in the final.

6. Jordan Staal (19 Goals)

As one of the Hurricanes with the most playoff games played, it’s hardly shocking to see Staal among the franchise’s goal-scoring leaders. He has 19 goals across eight playoffs, with the most (five) coming in 2021.

5. Teuvo Teräväinen (19 Goals)

Teuvo Teräväinen inflicted the most damage in the 2019 playoffs, scoring seven goals.

He scored at least one goal in all six playoffs with the Hurricanes before signing with the Chicago Blackhawks at the end of the 2025-26 season.

4. Eric Staal (19 Goals)

The most impressive aspect of Eric Staal’s 19 goals is that he played two playoffs, featuring only 43 playoff games, with the Hurricanes.

Staal scored nine goals in 2006, the Hurricanes’ championship season, and followed it up with 10 in the 2009 playoffs despite the team’s conference final defeat to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

3. Seth Jarvis (23 Goals)

With at least three goals in five straight playoffs since his 2021-22 rookie campaign, Seth Jarvis has quickly become one of the Hurricanes’ most reliable postseason goal-scorers.

He scored six in 15 games during the 2025 playoffs, the most of his brief career.

2. Andrei Svechnikov (26 Goals)

The 2025 playoffs are Andrei Svechnikov’s crown jewel, with eight goals in only 15 games. He scored his only playoff hat trick in Game 4 of the first round against the New Jersey Devils.

Svechnikov scored four goals in the 2020 and 2022 playoffs, tied for second in his seven trips to the postseason.

1. Sebastian Aho (38 Goals)

Sebastian Aho is well ahead of the chasing pack, with 38 goals. Part of the reason he’s so far ahead of the chasing pack is because of the 102 playoff contests he’s played.

He’s also been incredibly consistent, notching at least three goals in eight straight playoffs. Aho scored his most in the 2025 playoffs, lighting the lamp seven times.

Aho is also among the Hurricanes with the most game-winning goals in the playoffs
