But who else enjoyed a prolific postseason with the Hurricanes?

7. Andrei Svechnikov (8 Goals, 2025)

Svechnikov’s most prolific postseason occurred in 2025, when he scored eight goals in 15 games, including a first-round hat trick against the New Jersey Devils.

He also notched a goal in three straight games to help finish off the Washington Capitals in the second round. Svechnikov was held goalless in the Eastern Conference final defeat to the Florida Panthers.

He is also among those with the most goals by a Hurricanes player in the playoffs

6. Cory Stillman (9 Goals, 2006)

Cory Stillman played in one postseason with the Hurricanes, but he made it count. He scored nine times en route to helping Carolina win its only championship.

His goals were spread out evenly, with Stillman netting two against the Montreal Canadiens, two versus the Devils, three against the Buffalo Sabres, and two in the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers

5. Eric Staal (9 Goals, 2006)

With nine goals in the 2006 playoffs, Eric Staal equalled Stillman and Ray Whitney’s total. They had a share of second on the Hurricanes’ goal-scoring list during the 2006 Stanley Cup run.

Like Stillman, Staal’s goals were also spread evenly. He scored two in the first round, three in the second round, two in the Eastern Conference final, and two in the final.

4. Ray Whitney (10 Goals, 2006)

Ray Whitney’s crowning playoffs, akin to most of his teammates, came in 2006, when he tallied nine goals. He scored four goals during the 1995 playoffs with the San Jose Sharks, his second-highest scoring postseason.

After scoring one goal in the first five games, Whitney notched eight in the following 19 games, including three in the final.

3. Logan Stankoven (10 Goals, 2026)

Stankoven is enjoying a historic postseason, scoring 10 goals in the first 15 games entering Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final

He started the playoffs with six goals in the first five games and added two in the final two games of the Eastern Conference final to end the Canadiens’ playoffs.

Despite playing less than two seasons with Carolina, Stankoven is among the Hurricanes with the most game-winning goals in the playoffs

2. Eric Staal (10 Goals, 2009)

Staal played only two postseasons with the Hurricanes, scoring nine in the 2006 Cup run and 10 in the 2009 playoffs.

He erupted out of the blocks, scoring five goals in the first round against the Devils. Staal followed that with four versus the Boston Bruins in the second round before notching one versus the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference final.

1. Rod Brind’Amour (12 Goals, 2006)

Rod Brind’Amour netted 12 goals in the 2006 playoffs to lead all Hurricanes. Brind’Amour, among the Hurricanes with the most playoff games played, scored four game-winning goals and tallied four in the first four games of the opening round against the Canadiens.

He capped off the playoffs by scoring three goals against the Oilers in the final.
