1. Bobby Clarke
The embodiment of the Flyers’ spirit, Bobby Clarke’s relentlessness and leadership led Philadelphia to two Stanley Cup victories. In the mid-1970s, Clarke won an incredible three Hart Trophies in four years as the NHL’s most valuable player.
He went on to win a Selke Trophy in the early ‘80s as the league’s best defensive forward. Clarke is one of the most decorated hockey players of all time. He also holds the Flyers records for games played (1,144), assists (852), and points (1,210).
2. Bill Barber
Despite playing only 12 seasons in the NHL, Bill Barber scored a remarkable 420 goals and remains the Flyers’ all-time leading goal scorer. He was a pivotal part of Philadelphia’s 1973 and 1974 Stanley Cup-winning squads, potting 24 playoff points at the ripe-old age of 22.
Barber was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1990. He remains in the top four in games played (903), assists (463), and points 883 in Flyers history.
3. Eric Lindros
Hailed as the next big thing in hockey, Eric Lindros’ size and skill redefined the centre position.

Despite a career marred by injuries, Lindros was a colossal part of the Flyers’ success in the mid-1990s. In 1995, he took home the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s most valuable player and led Philadelphia to the 1997 Stanley Cup Finals. Lindros holds the franchise record for points per game at an absurd 1.36. He’s also sixth on the Flyers’ all-time points list with 659.
4. Bernie Parent
“Only the Lord saves more than Bernie Parent” became a motto of Philadelphia Flyers fans during the 1970s. Parent backstopped the Flyers to both the 1973 and 1974 Stanley Cup championships.
Incredibly, he won the Vezina Trophy as the league’s best goalie and the Conn Smythe Trophy as the best player of the playoffs in both championship runs. Parent posted a .924 save percentage, four shutouts and allowed just 1.89 goals per game in the 1974 Stanley Cup run, solidifying his place as the greatest goaltender in Flyers history.
5. Claude Giroux
A modern Flyers icon, Claude Giroux was the face of the franchise for more than a decade.
His leadership and clutch scoring ability were key in the Flyers’ run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010. Giroux’s consistency in Philadelphia ensured he will be forever remembered as a Flyers great. He’s second in games played (1,000), assists (609), and points (900) in franchise history and eighth in goals (291).
