Who Is the Seattle Seahawks Defensive Coordinator?
Aden Durde is the Seahawks’ defensive coordinator.
Born in London, Durde played linebacker in NFL Europe and served as the Dallas Cowboys’ defensive line coach from 2021 to 2023. Seattle hired Durde in February 2024.
He became the first British-born defensive coordinator in NFL history. When Seattle won the Super Bowl, Durde made history as the first Brit to win a Super Bowl as an assistant coach.
Despite interviewing for the head coach job at the Atlanta Falcons, Durde has been adamant that he is enjoying his role as defensive coordinator with the Seahawks.
He said, “Right now, I’m having the time of my life.
“Like, honestly, if things happen, they happen.
“I feel like when you just go about your business, things change when they need to change.”
