The Jacksonville Jaguars enter the season with a new coaching staff, making them a difficult team to project when assessing the NFL futures market.
While much of the media focuses on head coach Liam Coen and the offense, the Jaguars new defensive coordinator will have his hands full fixing a unit that ranked 31st in yards allowed (389.9 per game) in 2024.
Who Is the Jacksonville Jaguars Defensive Coordinator?
The Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator is Anthony Campanile.
Campanile is entering his first season in the role after joining the Jaguars in January.
He spent the 2024 campaign as the linebackers coach and run game coordinator for the Green Bay Packers. In his lone season, the Packers ranked seventh in the NFL in rushing yards allowed (99.7 per game).
Campanile previously served as the Miami Dolphins linebackers coach for four seasons.
The 43-year-old began his coaching career at the high-school level in his native New Jersey, making the leap to the collegiate ranks at his alma mater, Rutgers, in 2012 as a defensive assistant.
He has quickly ascended the coaching ranks in the decade-plus since, working at Boston College and Michigan before joining the professional ranks in 2020.
