Prediction: Who Will Win the Super Bowl MVP in 2025?

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the current favourite to win the 2025 Super Bowl MVP, with football betting odds of +105, followed by:

• Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles (+240)
• Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (+375)
• Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (+1500)
• Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs (+3000)

I predict Saquon Barkley (+240) will win the 2025 Super Bowl MVP. 

He’s been excellent this postseason, rushing 66 times for 402 yards and five touchdowns. He had three against the Commanders. The Chiefs have allowed 44 rush attempts for 215 yards and three touchdowns to opposing running backs this postseason.

Patrick Mahomes Odds to Win Super Bowl MVP +105

Against the Bills, Mahomes completed 18 of 26 passes (69.2%) for 245 yards and one touchdown. He also had 11 carries for 43 yards and two rushing scores. 

The Chiefs beat the Bills 32-29. The 32 points scored were the most by the Chiefs in any game this season. 

We’ll see if he can crack this Eagles league-leading defence, which allowed just 174.2 passing yards per game during the regular season and is plus-10 in turnover differential through three playoff games. 

Saquon Barkley Odds to Win Super Bowl MVP +240

My best online sportsbook bet for Super Bowl MVP is Barkley. 

Taking on the Commanders in the NFC championship, Barkley only got 15 carries, but he went for over 100 yards, averaged 7.9 yards per carry and had three rushing scores. 

Over the last two playoff games, he’s averaging at least 6 yards after contact per attempt and has forced 10 missed tackles. 

In the Super Bowl, he’ll take on a Chiefs defence that’s allowed three rushing scores to running backs this postseason. 

Jalen Hurts Odds to Win Super Bowl MVP +375

Hurts played what I’d consider his best game of the season in the NFC championship, completing 20 of 28 passes (71.4%) for 246 yards, one touchdown, and three rushing touchdowns. 

He had a rushing score in the divisional round against the Los Angeles Rams and added 70 rushing yards. 

He’s been a fairly low-volume passer, but his 28 attempts in the NFC championship were tied for his fifth-most attempts in any game this season. 

The Chiefs have given up at least 39 rushing yards to quarterbacks in each of the last four games. 

Travis Kelce Odds to Win Super Bowl MVP +1500

Kelce had a big-time game in the divisional round against the Houston Texans, catching seven of eight targets for 117 yards and a touchdown. He took a step back in the AFC championship, catching two of four targets for 19 yards. 

This season, including the playoffs, the Eagles are allowing about 41 receiving yards per game to tight ends. They allowed two touchdowns to tight ends in the divisional round, with Rams tight ends Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee each scoring. 

Xavier Worthy Odds to Win Super Bowl MVP +3000

Worthy has had a solid rookie season, and he’s been used often in the playoffs. Over his two postseason games, he’s seen 13 targets, made 11 catches, and posted 130 receiving yards and a touchdown. 

In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Chiefs traded up with the Bills to take Worthy. Worthy found the end zone in the AFC championship and had 85 of those 130 yards. 

The Eagles allow approximately 135 receiving yards to opposing wide receivers per game. They’ve allowed just one touchdown to a wide receiver through three playoff games.
