Despite winning the Super Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks have several needs in the 2026 NFL draft. Riq Woolen, Kenneth Walker III, and Boye Mafe were among the high-profile free agents to depart this offseason, leaving Seattle with work to do.

The latest NFL odds in BetMGM’s online sports betting markets make the Seahawks one of the favourites in the NFC, but those odds could shorten further if they nail their selections in the upcoming draft.

Notably, Seattle only has four picks after trading its fourth- and fifth-round selections to the New Orleans Saints for Rashid Shaheed. The Seahawks’ seventh-round pick was sent with Nick Harris to the Cleveland Browns.

Seahawks’ Biggest Needs to Address in 2026 NFL Draft

Cornerback

Woolen and Coby Bryant left as free agents, leaving Seattle with plenty of playing time to fill in the secondary. It is clearly the Seahawks’ most glaring need heading into the draft, so their first-round pick is likely to be used on an NFL-ready corner.

It’s not out of the question that Seattle trades down from 32nd to acquire another pick in this year’s draft. Plenty of teams are a potential fit to trade up for the final pick of the first round, particularly those after a quarterback, with Ty Simpson widely mocked to go around the 32nd pick.

Colton Hood, Brandon Cisse, and Chris Johnson are players the Seahawks could target in the first round. It’s unlikely Avieon Terrell is still on the board when Seattle is on the clock.

Edge

With Mafe on the Cincinnati Bengals, Seattle needs to add an edge rusher. Derick Hall and Uchenna Nwosu are entering the final year of their deals, leaving the Seahawks in search of a long-term solution.

Zion Young stands out with his impressive pressure stats if he’s on the board at 32. Derrick Moore and Keyron Crawford are potential second- or third-round picks, respectively. Cashius Howell could be a fit after registering 11.5 sacks last season.

The secondary is a more urgent need for Seattle, but the Seahawks’ front office could opt to prioritise their pass rush if they believe they can get a serviceable corner later in the draft.

Running Back

The Seahawks’ football betting odds to win the Super Bowl won’t crater if they don’t draft a running back in the first two rounds, but depth is needed at the position with Walker no longer on the team and Zach Charbonnet likely to miss most of next season.

John Schneider spoke very highly of George Holani and Kenny McIntosh, and he’s never shown much interest in committing significant contracts or premium draft picks to the position.

The most likely outcome is Seattle using its sixth-round pick to land a lottery-ticket running back, or Schneider could wait until after the draft and try to sign a couple of undrafted players to compete with Holani and McIntosh in camp.
