- Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (+550) remains the favourite to win the NFL MVP despite the Ravens drafting just one skill position player.
- Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (+600) is second after signing a $330 million extension.
- Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (+700) is third after the Chiefs drafted a left tackle at No. 32 overall.
With the 2025 NFL Draft having come and gone, all eyes are on the 2025-26 season, including the league MVP odds.
Below, I’ll predict and analyze the top five odds-on favourites using odds from the BetMGM online sportsbook.
Prediction: Who Will Win the NFL MVP in 2024-25?
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is the current favourite to win the 2025-26 NFL MVP, with football betting odds of +550, followed by:
- Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (+600)
- Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (+700)
- Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals (+750)
- Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders (+850)
I predict Joe Burrow (+750) will win the 2025-26 NFL MVP.
He threw for 4,918 passing yards, 43 touchdowns, nine interceptions, and a completion percentage of 70.6% last season, and the team has retained wide receiver Tee Higgins.
I expected the Bengals to address the defensive line at No. 17 overall, and they did with Shemar Stewart.
However, they didn’t address offence until the third round with a guard in Dylan Fairchild, who I’m not the biggest fan of, but who has that wrestling background that offensive coordinators and offensive line coaches will covet.
Fairchild could be the starting left guard to help protect Burrow if he exceeds my expectations.

2025-26 NFL MVP Predictions & Best Bets
Lamar Jackson to Win NFL MVP +550
Jackson is currently +550 to win the NFL MVP.
The Ravens addressed the defence early and often, but they also drafted a potential starting guard in Emery Jones Jr.
Other than that, there was a lot of defensive talent and a new kicker, and while they did take wide receiver LaJohntay Wester, I think he’ll be used more on special teams.
Josh Allen to Win NFL MVP +600
Allen is currently +600 to win the NFL MVP.
Additionally, the Bills’ odds to win the Super Bowl are +750, tied for third in the NFL.
Like Jackson, Allen didn’t get anything new to work with on offence. The Bills drafted a developmental offensive lineman in Chase Lundt and a big-body possession receiver in Kaden Prather, who may see the field a bit, but he’s a seventh-round selection.
Patrick Mahomes to Win NFL MVP +700
Mahomes is currently +700 to win the NFL MVP.
After losing to the Eagles 40-22 in Super Bowl 59, my guess was the Chiefs’ focus would be the offensive line in the 2025 NFL Draft, and they did at No. 32 overall after trading down with the Philadelphia Eagles.
They took Ohio State’s Josh Simmons, who’s recovering from a torn patellar tendon.
As for offensive weapons, they took Jalen Royals and Brashard Smith.
Royals is a possession receiver who can line up anywhere and win contested catches.
Smith is a wide receiver-turned-running back. He’s still learning to play running back, but his pass-catching ability may harken back to the Jerick McKinnon days for the Chiefs.
Joe Burrow to Win NFL MVP +750
Burrow is currently +750 to win the NFL MVP.
This comes despite them being tied for sixth in Super Bowl odds at +1800.
As mentioned, the Bengals didn’t draft any new offensive weapons, but they drafted Fairchild, who they’ve said has a chance to win the left guard job.
The Bengals needed to address the defence, and they took a high-upside edge rusher in Shemar Stewart.
The problem is that, despite his tools, he had just 4.5 sacks over three seasons of college football.
Jayden Daniels to Win NFL MVP +850
Daniels is currently +850 to win the NFL MVP.
The Commanders continued to invest in the offence, taking offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. at No. 29 overall, wide receiver Jaylin Lane at No. 128, and one of my favourite running backs in the draft, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, at No. 245.
Conerly Jr. will be a starter along this offensive line, whether as a guard or right tackle.
Lane’s 4.34 40-yard dash (94th percentile) will help make up for the departure of Dyami Brown.
Finally, Croskey-Merritt. He didn’t play in most of 2024 due to eligibility issues, but his skills were on full display at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
The backfield is a bit crowded, but don’t be surprised to see him surge up the depth chart as a two-down back.
