Bills vs. Steelers Predictions, Odds, & Best Bets: Week 13

On Sunday in Week 13, the Buffalo Bills are on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers, with both teams coming off a loss.

With their loss to the Houston Texans, the Bills’ odds to win the Super Bowl have fallen to +1200, tied for fifth in the NFL.

Of all the NFL spreads, the Bills are one of five road teams favoured by more than three points.

Below, I’ll cast a prediction for this game using odds from the BetMGM sportsbook, where football betting is available.

Bills vs. Steelers Odds

  • Bills spread: -3.5 (-115)
  • Steelers spread: +3.5 (-105)
  • Bills moneyline: -210
  • Steelers moneyline: +170
  • Total: 47.5 (-110/-110)

Bills vs. Steelers Predictions & Best Bets

After missing last week with a wrist injury, the Steelers and head coach Mike Tomlin have “great optimism” that quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play in this game.

That said, I’m not sure that’ll be enough.

Admittedly, the additional 0.5 point gives a bit of caution, but the Steelers’ pass defence makes it hard to trust them — they’re allowing 258.7 yards (31st) and 1.73 passing touchdowns (seventh) per game.

Additionally, the Steelers mostly play Cover-1 and Cover-3. Against those, Bills quarterback Josh Allen has completed 68.1% of his passes (204 attempts) for 1,749 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Yes, the Bills have a run defence that, like the Steelers’ pass defence, is among the worst in the league, allowing 148.9 rushing yards per game (30th), but I’m not confident the Steelers can take advantage as they average 97.1 rushing yards (27th) and 24.1 rush attempts (26th) per game.

With all that being said, I’ll put my faith in the Bills’ passing attack against the Steelers’ pass coverage.
