Bills vs. Bengals Predictions & Odds: Week 14

After playing on the road the past two weeks, the Buffalo Bills are back at home, where they’re 5-1 this season, to take on the Cincinnati Bengals, who have quarterback Joe Burrow back in the lineup.

Coming off a win last week over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bills’ odds to win the Super Bowl are +1000, fourth in the NFL.

Of all the NFL spreads, the Bills are one of four home teams favoured by more than five points.

Below, I’ll cast a prediction for this game using odds from the BetMGM sportsbook, where football betting is available.

Bills vs. Bengals Odds

  • Bills spread: -5.5 (-115)
  • Bengals spread: +5.5 (-105)
  • Bills moneyline: -275
  • Bengals moneyline: +225
  • Total: 53 (-110/-118)

Bills vs. Bengals Predictions

After missing nine games with a toe injury, Burrow returned to the lineup for the Bengals last week and beat the Baltimore Ravens 32-14. He didn’t have a great completion percentage (52.2%), but he threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns.

Now, he’ll face a Bills defence that primarily plays Cover-3, and against that coverage, dating back to the start of last season, Burrow has completed 70.7% of his passes for 1,389 yards and eight touchdown passes.

In addition to the passing attack, the Bengals’ running game could be in for a great afternoon. The Bills are allowing 141.3 rushing yards per game this season (30th), and Bengals running back Chase Brown is averaging 5.2 yards per attempt or better in each of his last three games.

This is important because Burrow will need to keep up with the Bills’ offence — they average 28.1 points per game, fourth in the NFL — and they should feast on one of the worst defences in the NFL.

This will be a high-scoring, back-and-forth game, but the Bengals can keep it within five points.

I predict the Bills get the win at home, but the Bengals lose by a field goal.
