When it comes to football betting, few things get more attention than the vast menu of prop bets. Some of the top ones that don’t involve the game as much include the Super Bowl Gatorade colour, the Super Bowl coin toss odds, and more. 

However, this year, a new “novelty prop” has entered the fray: the odds Travis Kelce proposes to Taylor Swift. 

Below, I’ll touch on my best prop bets for Super Bowl 59. Everything is on the table.

Will Travis Kelce Propose to Taylor Swift post-Super Bowl: No (-2000)

Kicking off my best prop bets is one that will have plenty of buzz: Will Kelce propose? 

First and foremost, I’d hope they would savour that moment for something more personal than on national television after the Super Bowl. Not only does it take the headlines away from a potential Chiefs Super Bowl win, but I’d just hope they’d enjoy that kind of moment together. 

Second, it would be quite awkward to propose after the Chiefs lose, which I think they will. 

Not happening.

Saquon Barkley Anytime TD (-200)

Barkley has scored 20 touchdowns this season, including the playoffs, with five of them coming over the past two games. 

In the Super Bowl, he’ll take on a Chiefs defence that’s allowed three rushing touchdowns and at least 107 rushing to opposing running backs in each postseason game.

Barkley will get plenty of opportunities. He’s had 25 carries or more in four of his last five games. 

DeVonta Smith Over 4.5 Receptions (-115)

Lining up in the slot, Smith will oppose Chiefs slot cornerback Chamarri Conner. This season, Conner has allowed 57 catches on 67 targets (85.1%). 

Smith has five catches or more in seven games this season. He’s also had four catches in exactly six games. 

With a plus matchup, Smith is in a great position to lead the team in receptions in Super Bowl 59. 

Coin Toss Winner: Chiefs (-102)

The Chiefs have not only won the coin toss in back-to-back Super Bowls, but they’ve also won the coin toss in six of their last seven games that have gone to overtime. While the opening coin toss isn’t overtime, they’ve shown that, for whatever reason, they nail coin tosses in the biggest moments. 

Also, I think we get back to the trend that the team that wins the coin toss goes on to lose. 

Before the Chiefs started the two-Super Bowl streak of the team that wins the coin toss winning the Super Bowl, there was an eight-Super Bowl trend that the team that won the coin toss went on to lose the game. 

I believe the Chiefs will lose, but sticking with my “logic,” they’ll win the coin toss. 

The coin toss in the Super Bowl has been tails 30 times (52%) and heads 28 times (48%). 

Halftime Performance – 1st Song: Humble (+150)

While it’s the odds-on favourite, this is Lamar’s most-streamed song on Spotify with a staggering 2,469,263,015. That’s about 1,129,661 per day. 

This song came out along with his 2017 album “DAMN.” and is arguably his most recognizable song. 

While he opened his most recent tour, The Big Steppers, with “The Heart Part 5,” the Super Bowl is a more generalized audience. 

I expect him to come out with his most recognizable song first. 

Octopus to be scored by any player: Yes (+1400)

The Eagles have attempted four two-point conversions this season. Of those four, three have involved the same player that scored the touchdown before it. 

Interestingly, the Eagles converted just one two-point conversion, and it was the only time they didn’t utilize the same player. 

Still, they’ve shown they’re willing to do it, and they have players like Barkley and quarterback Jalen Hurts that can easily score from the 2-yard line. 

Also, if there comes a time when the Chiefs commit a penalty and the Eagles move the ball to the one-yard line for a two-point try, expect the tush push to come. 

At +1400, there are certainly avenues for this to occur.
