The Seattle Seahawks had one of their best seasons ever in 2025, surging atop the NFL futures odds and weekly football lines at sites like the BetMGM online sportsbook.
But what are some of the other best seasons in franchise history?
Below, I’ll rank 2025 and more in my list of the five best Seahawks’ seasons.
Best Seasons in Seattle Seahawks History
5. 1983 (9-7)
The Seahawks reached their first conference title game during the 1984 season, but lost to the Los Angeles Raiders 30-14.
That said, this came after the team went just 9-7 and took down teams like the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins along the way.
Running back Curt Warner ran 335 times for 1,449 yards and 13 touchdowns in his rookie season.
He was a Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro.
4. 2005 (13-3)
The Seahawks made their first Super Bowl during the 2005 season with Mike Holmgren as their head coach and Matt Hasselbeck under center.
The team went 13-3, and while Hasselbeck went to the Pro Bowl, running back Shaun Alexander was unstoppable.
He was 370 times for 1,880 yards and an astonishing 27 touchdowns. He was a first-team All-Pro, the NFL MVP, and the Offensive Player of the Year.
3. 2014 (12-4)
One year after winning the Super Bowl, the Seahawks returned, but lost 28-24 to the New England Patriots. This was the game in which quarterback Russell Wilson threw an interception at the goal line instead of handing the ball off to running back Marshawn Lynch.
Still, they were mere yards away from repeating as Super Bowl champions.
Safety Earl Thomas and cornerback Richard Sherman were first-team All-Pros.
2. 2025 (14-3)
The Seahawks dominated the 2025 season with head coach Mike Macdonald and quarterback Sam Darnold in his first season with the team.
The Seahawks were second in points per game (29.2) and allowed a league-low 16.9 points per game. Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was a first-team All-Pro and was named the Offensive Player of the Year.
Darnold didn’t have a single turnover all postseason, leading to a Super Bowl 60 win over the Patriots.
1. 2013 (13-3)
The Seahawks’ first Super Bowl title came during the 2013 season, and they obliterated the Denver Broncos, 43-8.
This was one of the best seasons their defence, also known as the Legion of Boom, put together, holding teams to just 14.6 points per game.
To get to the Super Bowl, the Seahawks beat the New Orleans Saints and the San Francisco 49ers.
That season, running back Marshawn Lynch ran 301 times for 1,257 yards and 12 touchdowns. Sherman led the NFL in interceptions with eight.
