1. Cliff Meely
Meely was with Colorado from 1968 to 1971. He was a second and third-team All-American, a two-time Big Eight Player of the Year, three-time first-team All-Big Eight.
The school retired his No. 20.
He racked up 1,940 points (fourth in program history), 971 rebounds (fourth), and 123 blocks (seventh).
2. Burdette Haldorson
A two-time first-team All-Big Seven recipient, Haldorson recorded 711 rebounds (10th) over his career. He also holds the single-game rebounds record with 31 during the 1952-53 season against Oklahoma.
He averaged 21 points and 13.8 rebounds per game as a senior.
The program retired his No. 22.
3. Chauncey Billups
Billups played just two seasons with Colorado, but they were impactful two seasons.
He played in 55 games and averaged 18.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
He was a consensus second-team All-American and first-team All-Big 12, and the team retired his No. 4.
Billups was the catalyst for the Buffaloes going to the NCAA Tournament in 1997, their first appearance since 1969.
4. Jack Harvey
Harvey was a consensus second-team All-American with Colorado from 1937 to 1940. Unfortunately, none of his stats were ever recorded, but he was the first Colorado player to earn consensus All-American status.
5. Ken Charlton
Charlton was with Colorado from 1960 to 1963 and was a first-team All-American and two-time first-team All-Big Eight.
When he left Colorado, he recorded 1,352 points and was the all-time leading scorer.
He’s enshrined in the University of Colorado’s Athletic Hall of Fame, and the school honoured his No. 23.
