While the Arizona State Sun Devils have never won a national title, many household names have played for the team that hails from Tempe.

1. Ike Diogu

Diogu played for Arizona State from 2002 to 2005. He scored 1,946 points (third in program history), 802 rebounds (fifth), and 153 blocks (fifth). 

He was a consensus second-team All-American, Pac-10 Player of the Year, three-time first-team All-Pac-10, and the school retired his No. 5. 

2. James Harden

Harden played just two seasons for the Sun Devils from 2007 to 2009, but they were massively impactful. 

During the 2008-09 season, he scored 704 points (fourth in a single season). He was also a consensus first-team All-American, Pac-10 Player of the Year, and two-time first-team All-Pac-10, and the school retired his No. 13. 

As a sophomore, he averaged 20.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. 

3. Eddie House

House played four seasons with the Sun Devils from 1996 to 2000. He remains the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,044 points, including the single-season record of 736 during the 1999-2000 campaign. 

That same year, he also had a 61-point game against Cal (the single-game record). 

House also had 405 assists (ninth) and 258 steals (first).

He was first-team All-Pac-10 twice, Pac-10 Player of the Year, part of the Pac-10 All-Freshman squad, and the school retired his No. 5. 

4. Joe Caldwell

Caldwell played three seasons for Arizona State from 1961 to 1964. He had 929 rebounds (third) and was third-team All-American, two-time first-team All-WAC, and the school retired his No. 32. 

5. Lionel Hollins

Hollins played with Arizona State from 1973 to 1975 after he transferred in from Dixie State. 

Still, he was third-team All-American, two-time first-team All-WAC, and the school retired his No. 33 after he averaged 17 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists across 56 games.
