- Here’s a look at the Toronto Raptors’ statistical franchise leaders.
- DeMar DeRozan has the most points, Chris Bosh has the most rebounds, and Kyle Lowry has the most assists in team history.
- Vince Carter and Pascal Siakam are the players in the top 10 list of every major statistical category.
The Toronto Raptors are one of the two franchises that joined the NBA as an expansion team in 1995. Since then, they became a contender in the Eastern Conference and capitalized on their championship opportunity in 2019 by taking down the heavily-favored Golden State Warriors super team in six games to win the NBA title despite being the considerable underdogs in NBA odds.
Because of this title, the Raptors removed themselves from the list of NBA Teams that have never won a championship and never reached the NBA Finals. This success can be attributed to the players who racked up statistical numbers, which significantly helped the team. Leading the franchise in most points scored in team history is DeMar DeRozan with 13,296.
The Raptors selected DeRozan as the ninth-overall pick in 2009. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard played in 675 games for Toronto across nine seasons before getting traded in 2018. Another Raptors draftee who leads the franchise in another major statistical category is Chris Bosh. Bosh was selected as the fourth-overall pick in the stacked 2003 draft and played seven seasons with Toronto, where he grabbed a total of 4,776 boards in 509 games.
In terms of dishing out dimes and setting up his teammates, no Toronto Raptor was better than Kyle Lowry, as he produced 4,277 assists in nine seasons. He also leads the Toronto Raptors with the most triple-doubles (16).
Rounding out the franchise leaders are once again Lowry and Bosh, who hold the most steals and blocks in Toronto Raptors history. Lowry had a total of 873 steals, while Bosh swatted 600 shots. It is also worth noting that the only two players in the top 10 of all five major statistical categories in Raptors history are Vince Carter and Pascal Siakam.
