Which NBA Team Has the Most Wins in a Season?

The 2015-16 Golden State Warriors have the most wins in a season with 73.

After winning their first championship in 40 years, the Warriors set many records along the way, including beginning the season with the best season start in NBA history.

Additionally, they hit 1,077 3-pointers, becoming the first team to make at least 1,000 triples in a season.

The Warriors also became the only team in NBA history not to lose games consecutively in a regular season.

Stephen Curry made the most 3-pointers in one season, helping him earn a back-to-back MVP award and become the first unanimous MVP in league history.

Curry averaged 30.1 points per game on 50.4% shooting, including a mind-boggling 45.4% from 3-point range, 6.7 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals.

Steve Kerr won Coach of the Year, and Draymond Green and Klay Thompson were named to the All-NBA Second and Third teams, respectively.

Furthermore, Golden State had two five-man lineups with the highest net rating among groups that played at least 150 minutes together.

With Curry, Thompson, Green, Andre Iguodala, and Harrison Barnes, the Warriors’ net rating was 40.2 points.

With Curry, Thompson, Green, Andre Iguodala, and Andrew Bogut, Golden State’s net rating was 33.3 points.

Those were the only two five-man lineups with a net rating that exceeded 30 points.

However, the Warriors ran out of gas in the playoffs, becoming the first team to blow a 3-1 series lead in the 2016 NBA Finals.

Golden State fell to LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, as the Cavs got their revenge over the Warriors a year later.
