Raptors vs. Cavaliers Game 7 Best Bets
What a series this has been. Behind a spectacular defensive performance and a do-it-all night from Scottie Barnes, the Raptors won Game 6 without Brandon Ingram and Immanuel Quickley.
Quickley is a confirmed absentee for Game 7, while Ingram’s status remains unknown. Ingram being sidelined meant the Raps had to find offence from elsewhere on Friday, with Ja’Kobe Walter dropping 24 points, including four 3s. The real key for the Raptors was the disruptive defence of Barnes and Collin Murray-Boyles.
The pair combined for five steals and six blocks. Murray-Boyles played 40 minutes and has been preferred at the five throughout this series. I predict Murray-Boyles will go over his points line in Game 7.
RJ Barrett has quietly had a strong series on the offensive end. He scored 24 in Game 6, making it five out of six games with 20+ points. Toronto needs another big night from the former New York Knick, particularly if Ingram has to sit out Sunday’s decider.
Barnes has been running the offence. He’s got 42 assists over the last four games. Cleveland has frequently sent doubles at the All-Star forward, and he’s consistently made good decisions. I expect the Cavs will continue throwing extra bodies at Barnes, so he’s going to be forced into a facilitator role once again.
