The Toronto Raptors take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of their playoff series on Monday. Toronto is a clear basketball betting underdog at the BetMGM online sportsbook. 

Cleveland won Saturday’s Game 1 by 13 points and can take a commanding 2-0 lead with a win on Monday.

I predict the Cavaliers will win Game 2 of this series. 

Cleveland completely controlled Game 1. A 13-point win only told part of the story, with the Cavs leading by 21 heading into the fourth quarter.

Raptors vs. Cavaliers Game 2 Best Bets

The first game of this series highlighted how much has changed with the Cavaliers since they last faced the Raptors in the regular season. A healthy Max Strus scored 24 points, as Cleveland hit half of its 3s, and James Harden scored 22 points with 10 assists.

Strus drained four out of his six 3s. He’s +145 to make over 2.5 3s on Monday. The attention he demands from the defence makes it easier for Mitchell and Harden to attack the paint. Toronto had no answer for Mitchell’s off-the-bounce game — he’s +140 to score 30+ points in Game 2. 

Despite playing 36 minutes in Game 1, Brandon Ingram only got nine shots up. Ingram was largely used as a screener in the second half, a role he didn’t seem particularly pleased about in his post-game media availability. I expect Ingram to take on a much larger on-ball offensive role on Monday. I predict he will score 25+ points (+180). 

Jakob Poeltl only played 21 minutes in Game 1. Toronto has played Poeltl sparingly in recent weeks and has a couple of other solid options at the five. I predict Poeltl will once again be held to under 6.5 rebounds.
