Phoenix Suns 2024-25 Betting Prediction
Prediction: Over 47.5 Wins (-130)
I predict that the Suns will win over 47.5 games.
Kevin Durant and Devin Booker are entering their second full season as teammates, as they got more exposure playing alongside each other for Team USA during the Olympics.

Durant played 75 games last season, the most since his Achilles tear during the 2019 NBA Finals, while he was still a member of the Golden State Warriors.
KD continues to live up to his Easy Money Sniper nickname, thanks to his guard-like skills in a 7-foot body. He’s a pull-up jump shot machine, capable of taking it down the court and pulling up from 3-point land once he gets to his spot, stopping on a dime on the drive and popping in the midrange, and getting shots up even with the most difficult angles.
The 2014 MVP still drives to the rim with explosiveness, blending it with his signature turnaround fadeaway jumper. He’s equally dangerous off the ball, filling lanes with precise cuts or positioning himself for quick catch-and-shoot opportunities. His versatility and adaptability allow him to dominate in any offensive situation.
Defensively, Durant’s length and size help him contest shots at the rim and beyond the arc, and his lateral ability keeps him attached to his man on drives to the rim.
Booker operates extremely well in isolation, beating his defender off the dribble, and on pick-and-roll actions. The pick frees him up to pull up straight away from downtown or he’ll go in off the screen, get to his spot, and rise up in the midrange or take it in for a layup. He’s also capable of going to the stepback or turnaround fadeaway jumper and moving off the ball to knock down the triple.
Booker also proved he is a capable defender, especially during the Olympics. He can stay attached to his opponent, cut off their driving lane, force them into tough shots, play the passing lane, work through screens, and close out on shots.
Health is a question mark for Bradley Beal, as he played just 53 games last season and hasn’t appeared in at least 60 games since the 2020-21 season. Beal is a strong finisher at the rim on the drive and a 3-point shooter, proving he can be efficient as a third option, but Phoenix’s backcourt could use a table-setter to help set their offence.
That’s where Jones comes in, as his playmaking should keep the opposing defence in rotation. He makes quick passes and is able to identify what the defence is willing to give him in real time, fostering a ton of assists and ball movement, which should play extremely well to the strengths of the Suns’ Big 3. Jones is also capable of attacking the rim off the drive and spotting up from a distance.
Having Grayson Allen, who led the league in 3-point percentage last season, and Royce O’Neale should help space Phoenix’s floor even further. The latter’s playmaking skills and switchable defence will also be useful.
Jusuf Nurkić provides solid rim protection but is exploitable once he’s dragged to the perimeter.
All of this considered, I think the Suns will be a better team next season and will be in a position to win at least 48 games. However, another early playoff exit could have Durant and Booker in trade rumours next season.
